39. Jordan LACY
(1) was born on 2 May 1764 in Chesterfield
Co., VA. He died between 1839 and 1841. Jordan's will is date 17 Nov 1839 and
recorded 15 Apr1841. The Last Will and Testament of Jordan Lacy (Deceased).
In the name of God Amen. I, Jordan Lacy, of Madison County, Alabama, bieng
of sournd mine and same memory and viewing my approaching disolusion make and
ordain this my last Will and
Testament. In the first place I commend my sole to God Who gave it and my body
to a decent Burial. 2 ly. I give and bequeath all my track of land containing
forty Acres near or less to my younger son, Andrew B. Lacy, he taken care of
my Beloved
wife Salley Lacy during her natural life. 3 ly. I will that all my personal
property be sold after my death as convenient on a twelve month's credit and
the proceeds theoreof to be equally divided between all my legal heirs. Lastly,
I do hereby
appoint my beloved son Andrew B. Lacy Executor of this my last will and testament.
The Testimony where of I have here unto set my hand and seal this 17th Day of
November 1839.

The State of Alabama Orpans Court of Madison County this 13th day of November
1840. The Executors of the las will and testament of Jordan Lacy deceased late
of said County having this day been proen by the oaths of Richard Middleton and
Benjamin
Higgins two of the subscribing witnesses thereto. It is ordered to be recorded
(See Minute Book No. 8 Page 154) Pursuiant to said order said Last Will and
Testamentwas dykt recirded ib tge 16th day of April 1841.
