He was married to Mary LOCKETT (daughter of William LOCKETT) on 20 Oct 1776 in Chesterfield Co., VA. Joseph LACY and Mary LOCKETT had the following children:

114 iv. Madgaleth LACY⁽¹⁾ was born on 16 Jul 1781 in Chesterfield Co., VA.
115 v. Rhoda LACY⁽¹⁾ was born on 2 Feb 1789 in Chesterfield Co., VA. She died on 2 Dec 1832.
116 vi. Josiah LACY⁽¹⁾ was born on 26 May 1791 in VA.
+117 vii. Joshya LACY.
118 viii. Mary Walthall LACY⁽¹⁾ was born on 15 Dec 1798. She died on 13 Oct 1824.
