Monday, February 17, 1936 School again. Went early to sextette. Still plenty cold. School got 40 T's of coal. [tons of coal] B.B. 7 th period. Miss Millslagle gone. Looking for Manilla tomorrow night. Listend to Minstrels. Read awhile. To bed early.
Tuesday, February 18, 1936 School again. Manilla postponed game ‘till Friday. Played Alumni at nite. Beat a lot. Boys did too. Helen J. and I together. Home before 10:00.
Wednesday, February 19, 1936 B. B. practice 7 th period and then sextette and mixed quartette after school. Sang in both at Humorous Declam Contest. Dorothy W. – 1 st . Keith T. – 2 nd . Grace A., Valeria K. – 3 rd . Leo had Harold Turner's car and Ida – they brought me home.
Thursday, February 20, 1936 No glee club. Rich at Iowa City . At nite up to Beth's played piano – sang – listened to radio. Whole gang of kids. Went up with Helen B. – Home about 9:30.
Friday, February 21, 1936 Warmer. Went without a hat. No sextette. Rich still gone.Curled Beth's hair after school. Down town awhile. B. B. game with Viola. We beat both games. Surely seemed good to be playing again. Home about 11:00. With Helen Jensen. Bet and won an apple from Kenny Pingrey. Malted Milk from Ankor W..
Saturday, February 22, 1936 Went to Carroll with Leo, Ida, June, Dorothy T. Shopped and ate dinner. Gene and Glenn weren't there. Home by 4:00. Washed by hair. Sunday, February 23, 1936 Slept late. Cleaned house. Moved bed upstairs. Cleaned upstairs in p.m. Fixed fingernails. Listened to radio. Mom sick. Didn't get to League. Did up nite work.
