Tuesday, January 28, 1936 Usual work. Felt better. Leo did, too. Went up town in p.m. Made black silk skirt. Thought I'd go to school Thursday. Listened to radio programs at nite. Bussy & I sleep upstairs alone.

Thursday, January 30, 1936 Thought I'd go to school. Went up to get Dr's permit and couldn't go. Was I ever mad! [shorthand note?] Bought drape material and finished making them that nite. Looked at catalogues and listened to radio. Leo felt better.
Friday, January 31, 1936 Felt keen. Did usual work. Listened to daily programs. Leo lots better. White pique jacket. At night listened to "1 st nighters." Surely a good war story.
Saturday, February 1, 1936 Leo got up in middle of p.m. but he was terribly weak, surely looked funny. Just up a little while & then back to bed. Ida came at nite & Buzz and I went to show. Buzzy and I up to Beth's after curlers. Surely cold. Gertrude's here for a little while in p.m. Fixed hair. Went to League at Cooley's. Stayed with cabinet to plan party.
