Monday, Oct 12 [Maytag Store – added later at top of page] Came in to new work. Brought typewriter & lessons. Got lots of studying and letter writing done. Like new work fine. Boss is Charles Vandeworker. Folks had Maytag sent out home. At nite went to Lil's & Del 's for supper. Ground feed & caught roasters. Mom & Leo tired from washing. Bussy out of school due to teacher's meeting.

Tuesday, Oct 13 Really cold out. Nearly froze down here. Out home to dinner. Rather dull day. At nite Edith & Leo & I came in to Bank Nite – “Don't Get Personal.” Were home early. [may have title wrong – get no results on search]
Wednesday, Oct 14 Warmer out. Quite busy during the day. Sent in 2 shorthand lessons. Did the ironing after I got home from work. Came in to free show. “Speed.” Went with Pete & Edith. Home with Pete. SEE: Movie detail: "Speed"
Thursday, Oct 15 Leo Fest came from Idaho in a swell blue Nash. Warmer out. Ate in town. At nite ate supper with Edith. Fixed her hair. Played cards & then they took me over home. SEE: Car detail: 1936 Nash
Friday, Oct 16 Nice day out. Wore yellow blouse & brown jumper. Leo Fest still there. All out home for dinner. The old man, too. Did dishes. Wanted to go to Scranton but didn't get to. Folks left at 7:30. To bed early. The two Edith's car broke down.
Saturday, Oct 17 Edith P. in to see me. She stayed all nite at Luckinbill's. Rather cold out. Took Charlie's car to Carroll in pm. Bro't back a washer. Got twin sweater, gloves, & stationary for Max. Rode home with Dad. Stayed home at nite.
Sunday, Oct 18 Cleaned up stairs & down. Wasn't going to Edna's but it was such a nice day that I did. Lil's, Ida, & we were there. Went to Carroll & to Swan Lake . Saw Grotto. West's out home at supper time. Went out to Petes with Lund 's. Max's birthday. Pete bro't me home. Whole gang there.
