Monday, Sept 21

Letter from Opie. (sp?) Answered it & mailed her a picture. Listened to Sinclair Minstrels, read the paper & came to bed & read “All Story” awhile.

 

Tuesday, Sept 22

Usual work. Did quite a bit of my washing. In p.m. went to town, got pills for Leo & got goods for black dress at Garst's. Listened to radio & went to bed early. Ate watermelon at nite.

 

Wednesday, Sept 23

Did up work & then sewed on my black print dress. Finished it. Robert & Edna here about supper time. Ironed my dress & then Dad & I went to school house to hear quartette. Had Swiss Bells. Surely were good! Sat with Helen, Edith & Lenore. Wore new dress. Saw Miss Adamson! Quite a case! Washed & set my hair in pm.

Thursday, Sept 24

Real nice & cool. Leo feeling quite well. Up all day. Outdoors awhile. I made a jacket for nave Indian Head dress. Leo & Mom & I went to town in pm to Doctor. Got Bussy. Watched team practice f. ball & came home. At nite listened to Kate Smith & Bob Burns. (Cut frog's legs with lawn mower) Cold at nite. I'm catching a cold, so are Dad & Leo.

Friday, Sept 25

Real cold in am. Terribly windy. Did separator & dishes & went to town. Leo and I. Leo had shave & hair cut & I did shopping. Washed our heads & I washed 2 of my dresses. Went to ball game at nite with Jean & Dorothy. Leo went, too. Good game but Carroll beat us 14-6.

 

Saturday, Sept 26

Did up usual work. Made blue blouse for sunback Indian Head. Washed & ironed it & my black print. Listened to ball games on radio. Washed out my things at nite; Ida Marie came out at nite. Went to bed early.

 

Sunday, Sept 27

Real cold out. Alone for dinner. Folks went to Lil's in pm. I went to Lund 's. Curled Edith's & Pete's hair. They were decorating a cake for the fair. To town & got Helen. At Lund 's for supper. To town again in Pete's car. Norma and Don came & we played cards. Orrin & Arnold came too. More fun. Pete & I took Helen in to town & then he bro't me out home.
