Monday, April 27 Went to matinee in pm. “Tale of Two Cities.” At nite did dishes and then Bussy and I went to 3 one act plays at school. Freshman, Sophomore & Faculty. Surely good. Took the V. Tuesday, April 28 Cloudy. Went to Baseball tournament in pm. at baseball diamond. We lost to Arcadia in 1 st game 9-7. Started raining so they quit and we came home. Went to library. Leo popped corn. Bud, Weyne, Leo, Rosalee, Madelyn and I played ball. Went to show with Madonna. Bank Nite. “Freshman Love.” Cute. Em. Smith got the $120. Mom started papering kitchen. Wednesday, April 29 Mom finished papering. I came home from school at 11:00. Don't have to attend Assembly. In pm. went to Baseball Tourney. Lanesboro beat Coon Rapids . It started raining so they postponed the rest of the games. Made popcorn. Listened to Gracie and Fred Allen. I got songs on Hit Parade & then to bed.
Thursday, April 30 Rained and hailed in afternoon. At nite went to choir practice. Huff lead. Bertha and Richs at Iowa City . Rainy. Afterwards rode down street on Keith Textor's new bike. Came home and made 20 May Baskets for Bussy. Got paper at the Enterprise .
Friday, May 1 Collected water rent after school. Rained again. Took Bussy around on May Basket route. Curled Marian's hair. At nite went to show with Helen Power “The Life of Louis Pasteur.” Surely was good. SEE: Movie detail: "The Life of Louis Pasteur"
Saturday, May 2 Sent order first thing. Cleaned house – curled Verna's, Madalyn's hair and mine. Ironed & washed my 2 silk's. Surely tired at nite. Took a bath and tried on banquet dress. Up town – got Bussy white shoes. He at the show but wouldn't come when I went after him.
Sunday, May 3 Went to church. Sang in choir. Up to Robert's ‘till 4:30. Listened to Jack B. & Eddie C. Went over to Cooleys – then to Neil's to play croquet. League and then home writing my letter.
