B.B. game with Viola with Beth. Got anklets. Real windy. Radio bad. Heard Joe Parsons & Lux Theater. Cleaned up and went to bed early. Read “Golden Dawn.” Peter B. Kyne.

Tuesday, April 14

Real keen out. At farm at nite after milk. Stopped at Lund 's after my blouse. Raked yard ‘till 7:45. Bussy and I went to show Will Rogers “In Old Kentucky.” Best of all of his pictures.

Wednesday, April 15

Cooler. Letter from Wallace. Mom at Home Culture Club. Madonna came to have her hair set. Made hamburgers, did dishes, made candy, cleaned up Bussy and then wrote in diary. Listened to Gracie & Fred Allen. Bussy asleep. Mom still at church.

 

Thursday, April 16

Glee Club practice and then a meeting of class officers concerning invitations, pictures, etc. At nite sextette sang at church supper. Mr. Edmondson and Neil Clemmer there. Sang “Strawberry Fair” and “Lift thine Eyes.”

Friday, April 17

Left for Manning in the V-8 at 8:30. Mrs. Murday, Bernadine, Valeria, Margaret A., Miriam Coker & I. Had a keen time. Iverson and Kuernski were directors. Had my hair set. At nite stayed for dance. Had a lot of fun. Dorothy T., Erna L., Marion T., Bernadine Holliday. Home 12:30. Mr & Mrs Rich danced, too.

 

Saturday, April 18

Up early. Cleaned hours, set my hair. Finished raking parking. Helped plant garden. Made appointment at the studio. Marian G., Helen Jensen had hair fixed. Had pictures taken at 8:00. Took down Hit Parade. Went up after Bussy at Buck Jone's show. Standard Br's sold popcorn at Mundy's Drug.

Sunday, April 19

Went to church. Good crowd. Peggy Clayburg there. Ate at home. Very warm. Folks went to Louise's. Rosalee, Wayne and I skated all pm. I used Jean Lashemmanien's skates. Got my own supper. Went to League. Otto led. Prissy and I to show “ Petrified Forest .” Bette Davis & Leslie Howard. Bob Burns in comedy.
