      Wm. A. Duncan, Oct. 1839, arrived in TX, had class 3 Conditional Certificate for 640 acres in Shelby Co. TX issued 30 Oct. 1839 and Unconditional certificate issued 5 Feb. 1844 (from Vol.1, "1840 Citizens of TX, Land Grants" by Gifford White, FHL book 976.4 R2wge and fiche 6,100,364; from Lucille Mehrkam 1984).
      John T. Duncan, Oct. 1839, arrived in TX, had 3rd class land grant for 640 acres in Shelby Co., conditional certificate issued 30 Oct. 1839, unconditional certificate issued 4 Sept. 1843.
