      E-30: 2 Dec. 1839, John Duncan and wife Polly (X) of Tishomingo Co. MS to William Duncan of Marshall Co. TN, $500, an undivided part of S 1/2 Sec. 11, Twp. 3, Range 7, about 40 acres, the whole and entire interest ... which John Duncan has unconveyed either to Union Bank or to private individuals, the whole interest to the half section on which lots have been sold in the town or village now called Troy, being remainder of entire interest not heretofore conveyed by mortgage to Union Bank of MS.
      E-115: 4 Jan. 1840, Stephen S. Hogue, Sheriff of Tishomingo Co.; reference to judgement for $160 debt and costs against one John Duncan in the Circuit Court of Tishomingo Co. on 5 June 1839, upon which a writ of fire facias issued 28 Dec. 1839; there not being personal property of John Duncan to satisfy the execution; levy on 28 Dec. 1839 on tract of land, 55 acres, being the residence in which John Duncan now resides and which he purchased from John Reeves, and a part of the S 1/2 Sec. 11, Twp. 3, Range 7E; sold at public auction to the highest bidder, William Duncan, at the price of $2.50.
      E-137: 20 March 1840, William Duncan of Marshall Co. TN appoint John Duncan of Tishomingo Co. MS attorney to make title to certain lots, to wit, the whole of the lots in the Town of Troy, which will be described by plan of said town, together with two lots in the town of Jacinto. Wit. Joseph J. Person, John N. Alstadt. Rec. in Tishomingo Co. MS on oath of Joseph J. Person.

DeSoto Co. MS Deed, book & page not given (from Wanda Ruby to Dale O. Duncan to Sue Duncan to MAD 5/1989)
      23 Jan. 1851, Winnie Duncan, widow of William Duncan, late of Marshall Co, decd, being entitled to dower, said tract of land in DeSoto Co. MS known as S 1/2 Sec. 33, Twp 4, Range 6W, there is some uncertainty in 106 acres of land whereon John Duncan, father of said William Duncan now lives and 19 acres of cedar land in Marshall Co. TN; now the said Winney Duncan for $165 paid by John Duncan Jr., James Duncan and wife Rebecca, and John Green and wife Winney Ann M.
