      A-79: 25 May 1826 court, will of John (X) Duncan decd. produced. John Duncan, of Delaware Co. OH, 19 April 1826, weak in body. To my niece Sally Sharp my largest mare in consideration of assistance to me and my good will for her. So much of my property be sold as necessary to obtain a deed for land I now live on, calculating I have paid for it. To my wife Mary Duncan 1/2 my land, the other half to my niece's children of this county, names as follows: Mary Sharp, Sarah Sharp, Betsey Sharp and John Sharp, but my wife Mary to receive the benefits of the land during her life; the timber on the half granted to (the Sharp heirs) not be considered as property for her or sold for her use. Fifthly, I suppose I have some kindred living in the Southern states of America. If any such be living who are lawful heirs, I do grant each one $1 to each to be paid to them when they appear for it. Remainder divided between wife Mary and my niece's children of which my wife Mary shall receive 1/2 exclusive of my black mare which I give her as the one given to my niece; the remaining half to be given to the said Mary, Sarah, Betsey and John Sharp and used discretionary with their parents for their use. Appoint wife Mary sole executrix. Wit. Wm. G. Norris, Sarah Williams.
