      John Duncan, 1862. Will of John (x) Duncan, 1 Jan. 1846; all to wife Mary Dunkin for life or widowhood, then to children Jnothan (sic), Betsey, Philip, William (Wm), Sarah. Appoint wife Polley Dunkin and Philip Wilson exec. Wit. James W?. Wilson, Aaron Pitman. Proved April 1862 on oath of Aaron Pitman. (MAD: 1850 Yancey Co. NC census)
      P.C. Duncan, 1902. Will of P.C. Duncan, 30 Dec. 1901, of Spruce Pine, Mitchell Co. NC; to wife Wilhelmina in lieu of her dower if she should so select, the dwelling house and lot of ground in Spruce Pine, NC, and furniture etc. for life, then to my daughter Ruth and her heirs. To my wife all my personal property to wit my horse and cow and personal effects. All my inaccrance? amounting to $2000 in Safety Fund & Insurance Society except the amount herein for the benefit of my mother. To my mother 1/9 after my debts are paid. Appoint Chas. T.
