      1-359: Will of Elijah Duncan, 23 Sept. 1869, proved 14 Dec. 1869; after debts paid, remainder of property be distributed equally amongst my heirs as directed by law. The shares going to my two daughters, Martha Keller wife of Levi Keller, and Franka Rames wife of Joseph Rames, be paid to my two sons Wm. Duncan, Absalom Duncan who are hereby appointed trustees to hold the property for the benefit of my two daughters aforesaid, and they are further requested to pay it over to them as it may in their opinion be best; said property is to be free from the control of the aforesaid husbands, Louis Keller and Joseph Rames. Appoint my sons Wm. & Absalom Duncan my sole execs. /s/ Elija (X) Duncan; wit. Richard Tapp, Wiley D. Tapp.

Henderson Co. KY Deeds (FHL film 572,581 item 2)
      T-288: 1 Nov. 1861, Robert Brown, Stephen Fenwick and Absalem Duncan, commissioners, to Elijah Duncan; that Circuit Court in Henderson Co. on 10 July 1860, in the matter of Petition ex parte in Equity of William Duncan and others, heirs of John Duncan decd, appointed commissioners to make partition and allot lands of said John Duncan decd. among his heirs named in the decree, of whom Elijah C. Duncan is one; and to survey by 1st Monday of Sept. 1860; by Circuit Court 12 June 1861, they were allowed more time to survey, until 24 June 1861; the partition and allotment did set apart to Elijah C. Duncan the parcel on the waters of Highland Creek, corner to Hancock survey and line, 98 acres in Henderson Co., and a tract in Webster Co., corner Rutherford's survey, of 53 acres 11-1/2 poles, being the tracts in the report designated as Lot 4; and for and on behalf of William Duncan, Elizabeth Dixon, Ann Duncan, Susan Pritchard, and Robert Duncan, who are the other heirs named in the decree, warrant this deed.

Union Co. KY Deed
      S-408/409: 14 March 1861, Absolem Duncan and Elizabeth Duncan of Webster Co. KY to Nathan T. Duncan of Union Co. KY, for $200, all paid except $36, sell parcel of land in Union Co. KY on waters of Caldwell's Creek, a branch of Highland, containing 150 acres, being the tract of land patented to James L. McClendon who conveyed to William F. Holeman and sold by George Parker late Sheriff of Union Co. as the property of said Holeman per execution from Union Circuit Court in favor of John Jenkins Admin. of Willifred Jenkins decd, and the said Absalom Duncan became purchaser and Sheriff conveyed it to Absalom by deed 23 Sept. 1856, warrant title. /s/ Absalom (X) Duncan, Elizabeth (X) Duncan.       Pg.267 (pg.1032?), Webster Co. WILLIAM G. DUNCAN was born Feb. 11, 1847, in Henderson Co. KY, and is a son of Absalom and Elizabeth (Robbins) Duncan. The father was born in NC and now resides in Henderson Co., of which the mother is a native. Our subject at age 18 commenced farming on his own account; was married in 1865 to Louisa Cavanaugh of Henderson Co., have had six children, one son and four daughters are living. Mason. (MAD: Odie Duncan, lawyer, b. 8/26/1885 Webster Co. KY, son of William Green and Louisa Jane (Kavanaugh) Duncan, is given on pg.119 in the 1936 "Who's Who in KY"; from John A. Duncan 4/1985, and also in the 1947 issue)
      Pg.283, Webster Co. W.J.F. RUSSELL, born Sept. 24, 1842, in what is now Webster Co. KY, a son of John and Permelia (Duncan) Russell. The father was born in TN and is long since deceased. The mother was born in NC and is now living in Webster Co. KY. About 1820 they immigrated to KY. Our subject, at the age of 21, engaged in farming; was married, Aug. 27, 1863, to Sarah F. Johnson of Webster Co. KY. Five children, of whom one son and two daus. are living. Mr. and Mrs. Russell are members of the Christian Church. (MAD: see 1860 Union Co. KY census)
      Pg.283, Webster Co. F.M. RUSSELL was born Feb. 23, 1846, in Henderson Co. KY, a son of Elisha and Nancy (Duncan) Russell, of NC. Our subject at age 18 commenced farming on rented land ...; married in 1864 to Harriet Duncan, who was born in Henderson Co. Mr. and Mrs. Russell are members of the General Baptist Church, he a Mason.
