      9-91/93: December term, 1850, At a Probate Court begun and held at the Court House in the town of Rockville in the County of Parke and state of Indiana on the 2nd Monday, the same being the ninth day of December 1850 ... The final settlement of the Estate of Jesse Duncan deceased. Be it remembered that at the June term of the Parke Probate Court in 1848 in Park Co. IN, Addison L. Rouche was duly appointed administrator of the estate of Jesse Duncan decd, and Letters of administration were granted, ... (copy of wording) ... 15 June 1848, letters of administration granted to Addison S. Rouch ... Bond dated 15 June 1848 by A.L. Rouche and Jno. G. Davis, $40, to administer estate of Jesse Duncan. Afterwards continued in September and December 1848, and March, June, September, and December 1849, and March, June and September 1850. Now 9 December 1850 Addison L. Roache administrator files an account current. 1848, to boarding nursing & attending deceased in his last sickness, bill by William Green, Dr., $14.50. Received payment in full, December 13, 1850, Wm. (X) Green. Administrator reports he received from the Pension agent at Madison Indiana the sum of $14.50 balance and the deceased as a Revolutionary Soldier at the time of his death, which he has paid over to William Green. The decedent had no other property at the time of his death of any kind whatever. He charges nothing for his services as administrator nor does the clerk make any charge for his services. /s/ A.L. Roache, Dec. 12, 1850. Confirmed by the court, December 13, 1850.

      J-513: Indenture made at Frankfort, KY, 1 Nov. 1824, Henry Banks of City of Richmond, VA, to John Duncan of Indiana, John Duncan lately claimed 244 acres by several purchases within a tract of 8,000 acres patented in name of Daniel Linder in Hardin Co., said patent recorded in Circuit Court of US by Henry Banks; Duncan wants to obtain conveyance of same tract; in consideration of $122 paid by John Fife of Hardin Co. who sold to John Duncan, 244 acres conveyed by said John Fife and Philip Banger as will appear by deeds recorded in Hardin Co., and 40 acres to John Goodman recorded in said court.       These books list the early land entries 1822-1827 and later, by township and range, including John Duncan of Hardin Co. KY who had 160 acres in T15N R6W (Union Twp.) in 1822, many other entries by a John Duncan in Union, Greene and Penn Twp., and an Andrew and Absolom Duncan who had an entry of 80 acres in T17N R8W (Liberty Twp.) in 1829.

      "Parke Co. IN Abstract of Deed Book D, 1832-1833" Vol.II, which includes a deed in 1832 from John Duncan and wife Elizabeth of Greene Twp. The author noted that Deed Books A, B and C were destroyed by fire 1832.
      "Parke Co. IN Relief Record of Deeds" Vol.III, with the author's note that the relief record of deeds was started in 1833 after the fire. This volume includes deeds by John Duncan and wife Betsy or Elizabeth in 1826, 1827 and 1829, and John Duncan and wife Uly in 1827 (MAD: from Lincoln Co. NC), and a deed in 1831 to Nathan Duncan.
