      Pg.322-323: Pike Co. Isaac Cooley, farmer, Bingen, Pike Co. AR, born White Co. TN on May 19, 1823, eldest of 8 children born to William and Sarah (Hudson) Cooley, natives of SC who moved to TN 1815, then Hempstead Co. AR 1845, then Pike Co. AR 1855. He was first married in 1848 to Miss Linnie E.D. Rodgers of KY; 9 children, 6 now living, all married, all residing in this state. They are named as follows: John R., William T., Jefferson D., Sarah F., Elvira T., and Irene J. Sarah F. was married in 1869 to Mr. E.K. McGloffin, a farmer, who died about 1879. Her second husband was John Duncan, who resides in Pike Co. They were married in 1881. ...
      Pg.328: Pike Co. Jonathan G. Hankins, b. Lafayette [Fayette] Co. AL June 19, 1844; his father, Richard Hankins, a farmer by occupation, was a native of TN, born in 1802, and married Miss Sarah Dunken, a native of KY, born in 1816, and by her was the father of eleven children, namely: Polly A., Rutha, Debbie E. (decd.), John S. (decd), Martha J., Rebecca (decd), Susan (decd), James B. and Rollie T. Mr. Hankins, Sr., took an active interest in politics, serving as sheriff of Lafayette Co. AL for over 8 years. He volunteered to serve in the war of 1836. Both he and his wife were members of the Primitive Baptist Church ... He died in 1880, at the advanced age of 78 years. His widow still resides on the old home place, aged 74 years. The immediate subject of this sketch was reared in AL; 1862 Confederate army; on July 13, 1865, he married Mrs. Frances (Gilmer) Herrington, a native of GA, b. 1836, dau. of Archie and Peggie Gilmer, has 6 children: Blendinio P., Dora L. (decd), Alice E., Oscar L., Alonzo and David M. ...

Howard Co. AR on Sept. 1, 1849; twice married, first in 1874 to Miss Nettie Duncan, a native of Howard Co. AR and the dau. of Capt. R.L. Duncan of Centre Point AR. Two children: Bettie Lorena and William R. who died in 1876, Bettie L. living with her father. Mrs. Talbot died in 1876, and Mr. Talbott m. 2nd Miss Bettie Beene ...
