A Note about Table Stones
Table stones are generally the oldest memorials found in any graveyard.  The photographs shown here are typical of the local arrangements where these stones have been moved from their original location and then stacked one above the other.  This seems to have been done in the early 1900s by the Local Councils who took over the maintenance of graveyards from the church authorities.
It is virtually  impossible to access and transcribe these memorial inscriptions without the use of heavy lifting equipment and the experience to use it.
