Fifth - Thomas Betterley, born November 17, 1723, Boston,
Massachusetts; died July 28, 1775, Boston, Mass.;
married Elizabeth Carson, born March 22, 1732,
Scotland; died August 7, 1775, residence Boston,
Massachusetts.
Married by the Rev. Henry Canor, Minister of King's
Chapel, Boston, Mass. on April 6, 1749.
Their children were:
Elizabeth, born January 16, 1750; died Feb.15,
1750.
Rev. Thomas, Jr., born April 28, 1751, baptized
May 8, 1751.
Elizabeth born April 4, 1754.
Rev. William Carson, born March 29, 1762,
baptized April 9, 1762.
George, born August 18, 1769.
 
Sixth - William Carson, born March 29, 1762, Boston, Mass;
died November 29, 1841, in Nutler, Luzerne County,
Pennsylvania; married to Ann Marshall, February 14,
1783, Trenton, New Jersey, born 1758 in Trenton;
died August 28, 1860, Butler, Luzerne County, Penna.;
residence Butler Luzerne County, Penna.

Ninth - Gen. Albert Warren Betterley, born May 7, 1864 in
Centralia, Pennsylvania, living at 12 Edgehill Road,
New Haven, Connecticut. Married December 15, 1896
in Wilkes-Barre, Penna, living at 12 Edgehill Road,
New Haven, Connecticut.
