Home | Loren | Mary Jo | Denise | Amber | Honor Roll | Resources Samuel Whipple 1643/44-1710/11 and wife Mary Harris 1639-1722 are buried in North Burial Ground in Providence, RI a short walk from his parents' markers in the Whipple plot. The manager of the cemetery told an interesting story. The man who buried Samuel Whipple told his grandson every time they rode by this spot that this is where he made the first burial in the cemetery. When the grandson grew up, he had a white stone marker placed on the grave to commemorate his grandfather's oft-repeated story.
