In the name of God Amen, I James BARTLETT of the County of White and State of TN being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind and disposition __ory, for which I thank God, and calling to mind this uncertainty of human life and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly substances as it hath pleased Gods help we with I give and bequeath the same in manner following that is to say I give and bequeath unto my wife Nancy BARTLETT my household and kitchen furniture and all my stock of every kind to dispose of as she thinks proper after all my just debts are paid if any then? be also the plantation I now live on during her widowhood, and in case she should marry, this, the plantation. to be willed unto the use of my two boys hereafter named.

Secondly, I give unto my two boys, John and Martin BARTLETT, the tract of land wherein I now live, containing fifty six? acres, equally to be divided between them and to be enjoyed by them and their hers forever.

And lastly, I do hereby ___? and appoint my friends Joshua BARTLETT and Thomas BOUNDS executors of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other a former wills or testaments, by me heretofore made.

In witch? whereof I have heretofore? set my hand and seal this 18th day of June in the year of Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen.

I Jacob A. LANE clerk of the Court of pleas and quarter? session in and for the County aforsaid do hereby certify that at the session aforesaid Joshua BARTLETT and Thomas BOUNDS Executors of the estate of James BARTLETT Dec late of the County aforesaid produced in open court the last will and testament of the deceased and thereupon the ___ execution thereof was proven in open court by the oath of Walker BURWELL? and Harrison OWENS the subscribing witnesses thereto for the purpose thereon mentioned and thereupon in like manner. The said Joshua BARTLETT and Thomas BOUNDS were sworn executors to this last will and testament of the said James BARTLETT Dec. which was ordered to be recorded.

Given at office this 17th day of July 1815.
