Joseph MORRISON was born circa 1815 in Ireland. In 1850 he was in Elizabeth township, Allegheny county, Pennsylvania. He married a Eliza in Pennsylvania circa 1851. (I believe this Eliza to be Elizabeth FORSYTH, but need proof.) Joseph, Eliza and son John Thomas MORRISON moved to Wapello county, Iowa circa 1855.

John Thomas married Nancy Rebeca FORSYTHE (different Forsyth family) in 1871 in Davis county, Iowa. They had nine children, one being John Clayton MORRISON, my grandfather. John Clayton married Florence Belle ELDER in Davis County, Iowa.

John Thomas and Nancy's first born was named Joseph Artensus Morrison (nicknamed Tenny). Was he named after his grandfather? Has anyone run across the name Artensus? Would like to share information with anyone researching this line.

Looking for information on family of William James Morrison, Delaware County, Radnor, Pa. May have arrived in Philadelphia around 1880-1890, moved to Radnor, Pa. Wife of William was Sarah Elizabeth Matson of the Matson Family of Gulf Mills, Pa. Had 13 children, known names of some of the children are, William James (no Jr), Elizabeth (aka Bessie), married Tom Zeallor of Phila, MayJane (aka Jenny) married last name was Gohn, Richard K. Morrison. All of the children died before 40 yrs of age except William James who passed away at 93 yrs of age, Feb. 1999. One of the children name unknown was married to Elizabeth Morrison born 1885, died 7/2/55. Had the following children.Samuel Morrison (deceased, Robert (deceased), Elizabeth (deceased) 2/17/1914 to 4/20/1981, and Emma (supposedly living in Fla. Children of Samuel (James deceased, wife of James is suppose to be Living in Philadelphia, name Maggie or Margaret) Gerald Morrison suppose to be living, Pottstown, Pa. Samuel Morrison suppose to be living, Bristol, Pa. John Morrison wife Katherine, suppose to be living Kinsley, Pa., Thomas (unknown). Elizabeth Morrison deceased 1981, had the following children, George (deceased) David suppose to be living in New Mexico, Allen (adopted) name is suppose to be David Wickle. Elizabeth is buried at San Pedrom N.M.

Any inforation on above would be greatly appreciated, also information on Morrison`s and children in Radnor, Pa. Many of the children may have died from flu outbreak 1918-1920. Thanks to all.

I'm looking for Richard K. Morrison, his mother's name was Helen Krebs and grand-mother was Lula Ausburn. He lives somewhere in California. The last I knew of him he was an insurance agent. The reason for contact is that I have a box of pictures that he might want and also for genealogy purposes. There are at last count 50 Richard K. listed.

My grandfather was McRichie Gordon Morrison born in (I have been told)India.He lived in England before coming to the US. I beleive that he died in England. My father was Donald Edward Morrison, born in New York 8/38 and died in Las Vegas in the early 90's. His brother goes by the name of "Brownie". My grandfather was James Harry McDowell, married to Lillian Maude Dushane. He was a son of Samuel Wilmer Morrison and Sarah McDowell. I have a lot of information on this family and will be entering it as I get it in machine sensible form.

My father VERNE BOOTH MORRISON was born in Kanona, KS, 3 Oct 1906, and died 17 Dec 1995. His parents were NANCY ANNE BOOTH and JOHN A. MORRISON.

Hopefully, someone out there knows of JOHN A. MORRISON. I have been told he was originally from Virginia. He is buried either in Kansas City MO or KS. I think his middle name was Albert.

Any info would help as I can find no info on my father's family.

I am researching my great grandfather FRANCIS MARION MORRISON b. ca 1850, possibly Ohio? He married FRANCES McFARLAND b. ca 1850, location WV? They lived in Anderson, Marion County Indiana, and had two children. Francis Marion died in Indiana ca 1915, and Frances died many years later in CA. Their children were, BERTHA (ALLEN) MORRISON, and NINEVAH MANFORD MORRISON, who married MAE DELANE CARR (of Boone Co., Indiana)ca 1875 in Indiana. These were my paternal grandparents.

I would like any information that might help me to find the parents of these grandparents and any siblings. Of course I will happily share all information I have on their descendants. Thank you.

I am searching for the parents of Edward Morrison who was "born in the state of Jersey" April 1758. He moved to Fauquier county Virginia around 1769. I have the rest of the family tree from there to present.
