January the 27 1723

In the name of God, Amen. I Giles Underhill being sick of body but of sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be to Almighty God do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following viz:

First and princably I give my soul to God hoping to recieve full and free pardon of all my sins through the mercies of Jesus Christ my Lord and I give my body to be buried at the discretion of my ex hereafter named.

First I will that all my debts be paid and fully discharged.

Item I give to my daughter Sary Garrit one cow and calf and eyue and lamb.

Item I my estate to my kind and loving wife as long as she remains a widow afterwards to be divided between John and Henry, Mary and Elizabeth and her self desiring that my estate may not come to appraisement untill such times that it comes to be devided. As witness my hand.

This day came the plt by his attorney and the sherrif returned that by virtue of the attachment to him directed he had attached one ___ and bag one spinning wheel one iron pott and hook one frying pan one axe one hoe one pair of fore tongs one bed and furniture two chairs four water pails one washing tub two pig ___ two barrels one old mare saddle two ___ two ___ one book one iron spinate two pair of wool cards and one ___ brake of the goods and chattels of the said def to which he had ready ___ thereupon came the said def by Robert Jones jun his attorney and plead the general issue the trial of which is referred 'til the next court.

Upon the petition of John Croslin against Joseph Norsworthy.  This day came the plaintiff by his attorney and the deft having been duly summoned and served with a copy of the petition, and not appearing, therefore it is considered by the court that the plaintiff recover against the deft the sum of five pounds, thirteen shillings and three pence and his cost by him in this behalf expended.
