P.L. Harper 82, of Star, died Monday in Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Star Baptist Church where he was a member.

Survivors include his widow Mrs.Eula B. Harper; daughters, Mrs. Virginia Alexander of Troy, Mrs. Sarah Beddingfield of Clayton, Mrs.Janet Lane of Charlotte, Mrs. Betty Christenberry of Gastonia and a son, Jack L.Harper of Troy.
