There is at least one sweet family on Miles Home campus.

During the Christmas holidays Havana HONEYCUTT who

lived with his family at 1918 Atlanta Avenue, Portsmouth,

Virginia, sent Miss Sallie MCCRACKEN and the young

ladies of the Biggs building four large boxes of candy.  Years

and years ago when Havana was a young chap at Mills Home

he learned that young girls, even though they were sweet, were

fond of good candy.  In behalf of Miss Sallie and the young

ladies at the Biggs building we say to Havana HONEYCUTT

a thousand times thanks.

W.B. (Brack) HONEYCUTT and wife of Clinton, Md. were

very welcomed visitors on Mills Home campus last Thursday.

Since leaving us more than a quarter of a century ago, this

former student has made good.  For many years he has

been employed in Washington in the Mailing Department

of the Washington Post.  The HONEYCUTTS are the proud

parents of four children, three of whom are married.  They are

especially proud of their five grandchildren.  They were on their

way to Concord to visit relatives and to place flowers on his

mother's grave.

Thursday, August 6th, Mr. and Mrs. W.B. HONEYCUTT of

route two, Box 575, Clinton, Maryland were welcomed visitors

on Mills Home campus.  Mr. HONEYCUTT will be remembered

by many of our Alumni group as "Brack," has employment with the

mailing department of the Washington, D.C. Times-Herald.  He and

his good wife were in the State visiting relatives and friends.  Two of

the friends they visited were none other than Miss Eulalia TURNER

of Statesville and Mrs. M.L. KESLER who resides on route four,

Statesville.  These two good ladies are always eager to see and talk

with their Mills Home "boys and girls" of other years.
