Dear Mother I am Blest with One More privileg of rit(scratched out) Riting you a few lines in answer to yours Which I Riecved to day it aforded me Great Satisfactin to hear from you and to hear that you was Well it found me Well and this leaves me the same and find you enjoying the Best of health I have no Good news to rite to you at the presant you Wanted to no how my fare was I git Corn Bred and old Bacon and I heardly can Stomache that We draw a litle rice once in a While We can bye peas bye paying 20 cents a week Every thing is very hige here I get the shirt and drawers that you sent me but the apples I did not get Thomas he said they belong to Emsley W. RIGHT and he got them and I took all but one shirt and one pair of pants that Thomas HALL fetched and I had not forgot you I have Rote several Times I dont no Whither you Got them or not I Want to no What has become of Ann I rote few lines to A. (?) CRANFORD if you dont have to come out you must come to see me some time I Would be the Gladest in the World try to see you tell very that I Would to be there and go to shhol(scratched out) to school. With her I think it Would be a been more satisfaction than to be here Doublelong(scratch out) dule qicking every day and if you ever send any thing more bye any Body you must put down What it is. I want you to rite as soon as you git This leter and let me hear from you so no more at presant I remain you loving sun tell Death
