     Her married name was Rush. Mary 'Polly' Rench married Honorable Jacob Rush, son of John Rush and Susanna Hall, on 17 November 1777. Mary 'Polly' Rench died on 25 August 1806.

     Lt. Elias Thayer was born on 22 June 1741 at Bellingham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Captain Ebenezer Thayer Jr. and Hannah Green.¹ Marriage banns for Lt. He died of wounds received at the Battle of Jena.^2,3

     Henry Smock was baptized on 3 March 1776 at the Reformed Dutch Church, Conewago Colony, York (now Adams) County, Pennsylvania; "Smack, Jan and Sara Fontyn--Hendreck."¹ He was the son of Private John Smock Sr. and Sara Fonteyn.¹ Henry Smock died after 1808 at Greenwood, Johnson County, Indiana. He married Anne Westerfield, daughter of Jacobus Westerfield and Phoebe Cozine, on 12 December 1808 at Mercer County, Kentucky.² Henry Smock married Mary McKarney on 10 August 1825 at Mercer County, Kentucky.³ Henry Smock died in September 1835 at Greenwood, Johnson County, Indiana, at age 59 years and 5 months.

John Smock witnessed the will of Johannes Hendrickse Smock on 24 September 1754; Names wife Catherine, children Barnes; Ann, wife of John Teunison; "Morritey," wife of Cornelius "van de Vear;" grandchildren "Johannis," "Garrat," Barnes, Nelly, and Catherine, children of his deceased son Hendrick. The executor of the will was his son Barnes, son-in-law John Teunisson, and Cornelius van de Vear, and grandson of Johannis Smock. He is not the Lt. Colonel Smock as has been so populary supposed (even by the DAR). The Revolutionary War officers were instead cousins of his.² John Smock died on 26 February 1808 at Holmdel, Monmouth County, New Jersey, at age 81 years and 13 days. John Smock was buried in Smock Burying Ground, Holmdel, Monmouth County, New Jersey. His estate was probated on 13 August 1808.

     Elizabeth Smock was born on 28 January 1727 at Somerville, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Hendrick Smock and Antje Van Duyn. She witnessed the will of Hendrick Smock on 29 November 1746; Identifies Hendrick as a farmer, names wife Antje, children Elizabeth, Hendrick, Dennis, and Ann, all under age but Elizabeth, mentions a home farm of 131 acres in Bound Brook, and names wife Antje as sole executrix. As of 23 November 1749,her married name was Field.² Elizabeth Smock married Richard Field on 23 November 1749 at Middlesex County, New Jersey.² Elizabeth Smock died on 2 September 1808 at age 81 years, 7 months and 5 days.

     Aaron Haines was born on 25 March 1773 at Rancocas, Burlington County, New Jersey. He was the son of Samuel Haines Jr. and Elizabeth Busby. Aaron Haines married Martha Stokes on 29 October 1795 at Burlington County, New Jersey. Aaron Haines died on 6 September 1808 at age 35 years, 5 months and 12 days. .

     Allen Sharp was born on 1 August 1726.¹ He married Elizabeth Haines, daughter of Carlile Haines and Sarah Matlack, on 14 September 1752 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.² Allen Sharp died on 10 September 1808 at Milville, Cumberland County, New Jersey, at age 82 years, 1 month and 9 days.¹

     Hannah Stockton was born on 21 July 1736 at Morven, Somerset County, New Jersey.¹ She was the daughter of John Stockton and Abigail Phillips. Hannah Stockton married Elias Boudinot, son of Elias Boudinot and Mary Catherine Williams, on 21 April 1762. As of 21 April 1762,her married name was Boudinot. Hannah Stockton died on 28 October 1808 at age 72 years, 3 months and 7 days.¹

     Garret Smock was is the progeniture of the Smocks residing near Hodgenville, Kentucky. He was born on 25 April 1731 at Middletown, Monmouth County, New Jersey. He was the son of Hendrick Smock and Mary Gerrettse Schenck. Garret Smock married Jannetje Van Dyke circa 1752. Garret Smock was was assigned seat 15 in the newly constructed church, having contributed to the building fund, on 23 November 1752 at Sourland Dutch Church. He relocated to Raritan Valley, New Jersey, after 1757; (thereafter to York, PA, and then to the state of Kentucky). He relocated to Washington County, Kentucky, before 1785. He was is noted in the records as having purchased land, some 2,000 acres, on 29 March 1785 at Washington County, Kentucky. He died in 1809 at Washington County, Kentucky, at age 77 years.

     Margaret Hoffman was baptized on 29 April 1759 at Readington Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.² She was the daughter of John Hoffman Sr. and Rebecca (?).¹ Margaret Hoffman married Peter Schamp, son of George Schamp Sr. and Kniertje Monfoort, circa 1776.² Margaret Hoffman died in 1809 at age 49 years.²

     Mary Ann Cabot was baptized on 9 May 1784 at Salem, Massachusetts.¹ She married Francis Blanchard, son of Samuel Blanchard and Elizabeth Gardner, on 29 August 1808 at Boston, Massachusetts.¹ Mary Ann Cabot died on 25 July 1809 at Boston, Massachusetts, at age 25 years, 2 months and 16 days.¹

     Anna Fitch was born on 1 March 1763 at Swansea, Massachusetts.^1,2 She married Isaac Pierce, son of Reverend Nathan Pierce and Lydia Martin, on 7 October 1782 at Rehoboth, Massachusetts.^1,3 Anna Fitch died on 15 November 1809 at Rehoboth, Massachusetts, at age 46 years, 8 months and 14 days.^1,2

     "Nathan Applebee Sr., son of James Applebee and his 1st wife Dorcas,was born 2 Nov 1763 at Smithfield, RI, according to the IGI. He moved north with his family to settle at Franconia NH, where he married, 13Oct 1783, Katherine Verbeck, the dau of German settlers. Nathan may have gone to Concord, NH betw 1786-88, went to Lisbon 1788-90, and returned to live in Franconia betw 1790-92, when he moved to Littleton, where he lived until he died, abt 1812. After his death his wife married (2d) Ephraim McIntire."² There is only one Appleby in Grafton in 1790. This may be the grandfather of Mary (who married Moses Page) and ancestor of the other Applebees found in Grafton later. At Concord (now Lisbon), Grafton County, New Hampshire.³ Nathan Applebee was born on 2 November 1763 at Smithfield, Providence County, Rhode Island.¹ He was the son of James Applebee of Smithfield and Dorcas Paine.¹ No Appleby (or Page) appears in Concord in the New Hampshire Association Test. In 1776.⁴ Nathan Applebee married Katherine Vorback, daughter of Philip Vorback and Lois (?), on 13 October 1783.²

Mentions sons John Appleby, James Appleby, Benjamin Appleby, Nathan Appleby, & Seth Appleby. Daughters: Katurah King, Priscilla Whipple, Elizabeth Smith, Hannah Mowry, & Sarah Latham. Witnesses: Job Aldrich, Daniel Mowry Jr., and David Steere.⁵ Nathan Applebee relocated to Littleton, Grafton County, New Hampshire, in 1792.⁶ He died before 1810 at Littleton, Grafton County, New Hampshire.² On Concord: "The town was granted August 6, 1763 ... by the name of Concord. This grant was made, and the town was thus named, nearly two years prior to the incorporation and naming of Concord in the county of Merrimack." Names wife Arianthe; sisters Magdalen, Elizabeth, Maria, Gertrude, Leah and Catherine; Cornelius, son of brother John Smock; Rynear Giles, son of sister Jane; Rynear Smock Merrill, "son of my wife's niece, Polly, the wife of William Merrill;" the Dutch Ref. ch. at Millstone. Jacob Smock relocated to the Dutch Church, Conewago Colony, York County, Pennsylvania, after 1764. He married Catherine Demaree, daughter of Samuel Davids Demaree and Lea Demarest, in 1773 at Conewago, York County, Pennsylvania. Jacob Smock lived between 1774 and 1806 at Shelby County, Kentucky; He appears on tax lists in Shelby County, during this period, but not past this date. (It appears he maintained a taxable presence in Virginia during some of this period as well.). He relocated to Virginia between 9 April 1774 and 1775. He served in (an unknown value) on 19 July 1777 at Virginia. He served in the American Revolution, as a private in the 3rd and 4th Virgina Regiments, and as a sergeant in the 4th, 8th, and 12th Regiments, under Capt. Robert Higgin's Company of Major Jonathon Clark's fourth regiment of Virginia troops. He ended military service in November 1779 at Virginia; He received Virginia Military Land Warrent No. 1022, 200 acres, for threes years of service as a sergeant. He lived between 1782 and 1785 at Hampshire County, Virginia; He was on Virginia tax lists, and other documents, during this time. He lived between 1784 and 1794 at Shelby County, Kentucky. He was at the Treaty of Greeneville where General Wayne signed a treaty with the Ohio Indian nations. There Jacob traded a keg of rum for his two sons, Peter and John, held prisoner by the indians on 3 August 1795 at Greeneville. He lived in 1807 at Hanover, Clark County, Indiana; (Clark County is now Jefferson County.). He married Elizabeth Stevens in 1807 at Mercer County, Kentucky. Jacob Smock died before 2 May 1811 at Virginia. Massacered by indians on his return to Virginia per the information from his second wife, Elizabeth Stevens.

      Levi Thayer was born on 19 February 1775 at Richmond, Cheshire County, New Hampshire.¹ He was the son of Caleb Thayer and Susannah Threshere.^1,2,3

Boles.^6,7 Levi Thayer married Hannah Abbott, daughter of Corporal Obed Abbott and Elizabeth Edmunds, on 28 March 1799 at Richmond, Chesire County, New Hampshire.⁸ His uncle, Nathan Thayer, brother of his father Caleb, arrived in Waitsfield, per the history of that town. This uncle Nathan married a Sally Abbot, much like his father Caleb married his mother Hannah Abbot. Were they sisters? Did he and his mother remove to Vermont with his Uncle (by his father) Nathan and his Aunt (by his mother) Sally? Circa 1805.⁹ Levi Thayer accompanied Nathan Thayer Sr. when Nathan relocated circa 1805 and came to reside in Waitsfield, Washington (then Chittenden) County, Vermont.⁹

     James Ballou III was born on 10 December 1723 at (later Cumberland, R.I.), Wrentham, Massachusetts.¹ He married Tamasin Cook, daughter of Daniel Cooke and Suzanna (?), on 7 June 1744 at (later Cumberland, R.I.), Wrentham, Massachusetts.¹ James Ballou III died on 21 January 1812 at Richmond, Cheshire County, New Hampshire, at age 88 years, 1 month and 11 days.¹

     Dr. Joseph Strong was born on 10 March 1770 at South Coventry, Connecticut.¹ He was the son of Deacon Benajah Strong and Lucy Bishop.¹ Dr. Joseph Strong studied medicine under Dr. Lemuel Hopkins of Hartford between 1788 and 1790.¹ He studied medicine under Dr. Benjamin Rush at the School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania between 1791 and 1792.¹ He was a surgeon's mate in the legion of General Anthony Wayne in the Ohio campaign against the Indians between 4 May 1792 and 1 May 1796.¹ He married Rebecca Young on 8 September 1796 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.¹ Dr. Joseph Strong died on 24 April 1812 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at age 42 years, 1 month and 14 days. He died of Yellow Fever.¹

     John Van Cleave Sr. was born in 1739 at Monmouth County, New Jersey. He married Rachel Demaree, daughter of Samuel Davids Demaree and Lea Demarest, after 15 September 1781. John Van Cleave Sr. died on 12 May 1812 at age 73 years.

     Also called Jan. Private John Smock Sr. was baptized on 3 June 1739 at the Reformed Dutch Church, Raritan (Somerville), Somerset County, New Jersey; "Smack, Mateys and wife Mareytye--Jan."^2,3 As 2nd son, named after his mother's father, per Dutch tradition. He was the son of Matthias Matthyse Smock and Maritje Buys.¹ Private John Smock Sr. married Sara Fonteyn, daughter of Carel Fonteyn and Sarah Nolan, circa 1759.⁴ Private John Smock Sr. relocated to Conewago, York County, Pennsylvania, between 1768 and 1770. He married Lena Fonteyn before 1770; His 1st(? or are Lena and Sara the same person?). Private John Smock Sr. served in the American Revolutionary War between 1777 and 1778.⁵ He was served as a Private in Captain Jacob Ten Eyck's company, First Battalion, out of Somerset County.⁶ He relocated to Mercer County, Kentucky, circa 1791. He witnessed the marriage of Evert Bice and Maria Smock on 9 March 1798 at Mercer County, Kentucky; Her 2nd (divorcée).^4,7 Private John Smock Sr. died in July 1812 at Mercer County, Kentucky, at age 73 years. Private John Smock Sr. was buried in the Mud Meeting House Cemetery, Mercer County, Kentucky. He was identified as an American Revolutionary War Patriot by the DAR at the Mud Meeting House, Mercer County, Kentucky.⁸ He was noted as an American Revolutionary War veteran by a Knox County, IN history where descendants lived.⁹ His estate was probated on 13 April 1814.

     Also called Pieter. Peter Schamp was baptized on 7 April 1751 at the North Branch Reformed Dutch Church, Readington, Somerset County, New Jersey.^1,2 He was the son of George Schamp Sr. and Kniertje Monfoort.¹ Peter Schamp witnessed the will of Justis Schamp on 28 May 1760 at Readington Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey; Just days before his death, Joost, described as "...weak of Body but sound of Mind and memory" made his last will and testament. Executed at his plantation in "the Township of Reading in the County of Hunterdon," Joost very carefully divided his vast land holdings among his surving children and grandchildren. By it his wife was given the use of the entire estate during her widowhood. At her death or previous to remarriage the estate was to be divided as follows: The two sons of his deceased eldest son George were to receive 1832 acres of the Somerset tract. Another 183 acres of this tract were to be given to the two sons of Nicholas. One hundred acres of this same tract were given to the children of his daughter Janneka, late wife of Dirck Marlet, to be divided among them. The rest was to be divided among his living heirs, both children and grandchildren. The Hunterdon tract was to be divided among the three remaining children. His daughter, Staunchy (aka Christine), wife of Jacobus Cocks, was given a parcel of 111 acres. Another 111 acres went to his daughter Hannah, of who marriage no trace has yet appeared, and the remainder, 278 acres, fell to his son Hendrick, this portion containing the homestead and appears to have been the choice heritage. The two sons of his son George, George and Peter, were to give their five sisters the sum of sixteen pounds each. Not forgotten, Anita, the daughter of Nicholas was to recieve from her brothers a dower equal to that of her five cousins combined, namely eighty pounds. Executors of the will were Hendrick Schomp, his friend George Reading, and his son-in-law Jacobus Cocks.³ Peter Schamp married Margaret Hoffman, daughter of John Hoffman Sr. and Rebecca (?), circa 1776.⁴ Peter Schamp witnessed (or was recognized by) the probate of the estate of John Hoffman Sr. on 24 December 1810; letters of adm. of his estate given to Peter Schomp.⁴ Peter Schamp died on 12 October 1812 at age 61 years, 6 months and 5 days.¹

     John Gambling was born in 1730 at England.¹ He married Mary Terry.² John Gambling died before 5 December 1812 at Maury County, Tennessee.¹

     John P. Lane was born on 13 October 1786 at of near Pottersville, Somerset County, New Jersey.¹ He was born on 16 October 1786 at New Germantown, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.² He was the son of Peter Lane and Elizabeth Smock.¹ John P. Lane married Elizabeth Honnell, daughter of Frederick Honnell and Elizabeth Schenckel, on 27 August 1807; Her 1st.^3,1 John P. Lane died on 30 December 1812 at age 26 years, 2 months and 14 days. An accidental death.^4,1

     Isaac Hollingshead was born in 1766. He was the son of Lieutenant Anthony Hollinshead Sr. and Elizabeth Conrow. Isaac Hollingshead married Mary Hill before 1800. Isaac Hollingshead died in 1813 at age 47 years.

     John Stillwell married Elizabeth Watson. John Stillwell was born in 1738.¹ He served in the Revolutionary War, as a quartermaster in the Monmouth County militia circa 1777. He died in 1813 at Middletown, Monmouth County, New Jersey, at age 75 years.¹

     Antje Aten was born on 25 March 1719 at Somerset County, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Adriaen Aten and Jacobje Middagh.¹ Antje Aten was baptized on 14 October 1719 at the Reformed Dutch Church, Raritan (Somerville), Somerset County, New Jersey; " Aten, Adriaan and wife--Antie. Witnesses: Pieter (uncle) and Katalyna (gmother) Middag."² She married Nicolaes Schamp, son of Justis Schamp and Margrietje Lock, circa 1745.¹ Antje Aten was appeared in the "Memorandim of the money received by Dirck Low concarning the Cark built at the New-Channick" as having contributed œ 1.1.0 in 1761 at the Neshanic Reformed Church, Somerset County, New Jersey.³ She died in 1813 at Somerset County, New Jersey, at age 93 years.¹

     Her married name was Wilbur. Ann Wood was born on 17 July 1753 at Wellsbridge, Otsego, New York. She was the daughter of George Wood and Sarah Devol. Ann Wood married Thomas Wilbur, son of George Wilbur and Elizabeth Sweet, on 3 July 1773. Ann Wood died on 5 March 1813 at age 59 years, 7 months and 16 days.

     Augusta, Princess of Wales was born on 31 July 1737.¹ She was the daughter of Friedrich Ludwig, Kurprinz von Hannover und Prince of Wales and Princess Augusta of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg.¹ Augusta, Princess of Wales married Karl II Wilhelm Ferdinand, Herzog von Braunschweig, son of Karl I, Herzog von Braunschweig and Philippine Charlotte of Prussia, on 17 January 1764.¹ Augusta, Princess of Wales died on 23 March 1813 at age 75 years, 7 months and 23 days.¹
