Elias Boudinot was born on 3 August 1706 at Manhatten, New York.1 He was the son of Elias Boudinot and Marie Catherine Caree.1 Elias Boudinot apprenticed as a goldsmith at New York City.2 He went into business as a goldsmith at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.3 He married Mary Catherine Williams, daughter of Arthur Williams and Anna Richardson, in 1733 at Antigua, British West Indies.1 Elias Boudinot was a next door neighbor of Benjamin Franklin at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.3 He organized a company to exploit a copper mine near New Brunswick in 1750 at New Jersey.3 He may have been described as a tradesman of decaying fortune, but there was no denying that the Boudinot traced back to Elias, or Elie, Seigneur de Cressy, a prosperous merchant living near La Rochelle, who had come to New York in 1687.4 He saw the copper mine venture fail and was forced to combine his silversmith trade with a business in general merchandise and the position of postmaster in order to make a living.3 He moved to "a pleasant and agreeable situation opposite the College, being 46 ft. front and 36 deep with ten rooms, eight with fireplaces, a large new stable, 40 feet long and 20 broad with a good well and large garden with fruit trees, a large bed of asparagus, etc. all enclosed with a good boarded fence, fit for a Merchant or a Tavern" and he became a tavern keeper as well. In 1757.3 He died on 4 July 1770 at Elizabethtown, Essex, New Jersey, at age 63 years, 11 months and 1 day.1 Elias Boudinot was buried in First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethtown, Essex, New Jersey.1

Annatje Schamp witnessed the will of Justis Schamp on 28 May 1760 at Readington Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey; Just days before his death, Joost, described as "...weak of Body but sound of Mind and memory" made his last will and testament. Executed at his plantation in "the Township of Reading in the County of Hunterdon," Joost very carefully divided his vast land holdings among his surving children and grandchildren. By it his wife was given the use of the entire estate during her widowhood. At her death or previous to remarriage the estate was to be divided as follows: The two sons of his deceased eldest son George were to receive 1832 acres of the Somerset tract. Another 183 acres of this tract were to be given to the two sons of Nicholas. One hundred acres of this same tract were given to the children of his daughter Janneka, late wife of Dirck Marlet, to be divided among them. The rest was to be divided among his living heirs, both children and grandchildren. The Hunterdon tract was to be divided among the three remaining children. His daughter, Staunchy (aka Christine), wife of Jacobus Cocks, was given a parcel of 111 acres. Another 111 acres went to his daughter Hannah, of who marriage no trace has yet appeared, and the remainder, 278 acres, fell to his son Hendrick, this portion containing the homestead and appears to have been the choice heritage. The two sons of his son George, George and Peter, were to give their five sisters the sum of sixteen pounds each. Not forgotten, Anita, the daughter of Nicholas was to recieve from her brothers a dower equal to that of her five cousins combined, namely eighty pounds. Executors of the will were Hendrick Schomp, his friend George Reading, and his son-in-law Jacobus Cocks.3 Annatje Schamp died after 3 December 1770 at Readington Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.1,2

This Ebenezer, son of Isaac and Mercy Rockwood, married a Sarah ____, and remained in Mendon. This is the father of my Jeremiah.5 NE Families states that Ebenezer, son of Isaac and Mercy Rockwood, was the Ebenezer who settled in the adjacent town of Bellingham, and married Mary Wheelock. This agrees with Bezaleel, but Thayer researchers says this is incorrect. The Ebenezer of Bellingham was the son of Ebenezer, Isaac's brother.6 Ebenezer Thayer of Mendon was born on 6 September 1697 at Mendon, Worcestor County, Massachusetts.2,7,8,9 He was the son of Isaac Thayer of Mendon and Mercy Rockwood.2,1,3,4 Ebenezer Thayer of Mendon married Sarah before 1721.3 Ebenezer Thayer of Mendon and Captain Ebenezer Thayer Jr. had ten acres, of Josiah Thayer's seventh division, laid out for him on 22 February 1721 at Mendon, Worcester County, Massachusetts.10 Ebenezer Thayer of Mendon was recognized in his father's will, due money from his brother Moses, and noted as resident of Mendon on 3 October 1754 at Mendon, Massachusetts.11 He witnessed the will of Isaac Thayer of Mendon on 3 October 1754 at Worcester County, Massachusetts; "To my beloved son, Ebenezer Thayer of Mendon and his heirs and assignees forever I give after my demise 13 pounds, 6 shillings and 8 pence lawful money to be paid by my aforesaid son, Moses Thayer, in the space of two years after my decease besides what I have already given him." And he named "the four children of my daughter Marcy Thomson, deceased, viz: David Thomson, Mary Scott, wife of Samuel; Abigail Right, wife of Samuel; Loies Darling, wife of Enock; children of my granddau. Marcy Thomson, wife of Ezra, dec’d; children of my grand-dau. Rachel Thomson, wife of Ichabod, dec’d; children of my grand-dau. Unice Brown, wife of Joseph, dec’d.”.11,12 Ebenezer Thayer of Mendon was a witness where Moses Thayer recognized in the will of his father and entrusted with giving his brother, Ebenezer, a sum of money, on 3 October 1754.11 Ebenezer Thayer of Mendon died after 1772.3
