     Deacon Nehemiah Abbott was born after 1631 at England?.¹ He was the son of George Abbott of Rowley.² Deacon Nehemiah Abbott married Mary Howe, daughter of John Howe Sr. and Mary Howe, Mrs., on 14 December 1659 at Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts.¹ Deacon Nehemiah Abbott died in March 1706/7 at Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts.³

     Samuel Blanchard of Charleston was born on 6 August 1629 at Goodworth Clatford, Hampshire, England.^1,2 He was the son of Thomas Blanchard and Elizabeth (?).^1,2 Samuel Blanchard of Charleston came to New England with his father at the age of 10 in 1639.² He married Mary Sweetser, daughter of Seth Sweetser of Charleston and Bethia Cooke, on 3 January 1654/55 at Charleston, Massachusetts; His 1st.² Samuel Blanchard of Charleston witnessed the will of Seth Sweetser of Charleston on 24 May 1662; Bequests to wife Elizabeth, daughter Sarah, son Samuel Blancher and his wife Mary, daughter Hannah Fitch and to his wife's three children. Son Benjamin and Edward Drinker executors. Mr. Richard Russell and my brother Thomas Gold overseers.¹ Samuel Blanchard of Charleston was a prominent citizen of Charlestown and Malden.¹ He married Hannah Daggett, daughter of Thomas Daggett of Marshfield and Elizabeth Humphrey, on 24 June 1673 at Charleston, Massachusetts; His 2nd.² Samuel Blanchard of Charleston was had already established his name as early at 1679 at Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts.      The Richard Stockton who settled in Princeton was born in England. According to family tradition - the family records were probably among the papers burned by the British when they occupied Morven in December 1776 - his father, also named Richard, was one of the Stocktons who had dwelt in Cheshire since the time of the Conquest.² Richard Stockton Sr. was christened on 20 June 1606 at the Parish Church, Keddington, Malpas Parish, Cheshire, England; A descendant of John Stockton, Esq., of Kiddington, in the Parish of Malpas, County of Chester, England.^3,1,4 He was the son of Owen Stockton. Richard Stockton Sr. married Abigail Bloomfield in 1652 at Malpas Parish?, Cheshire?, England.^5,6,7 Richard Stockton Sr. and Abigail Bloomfield immigrated to Flushing, New York, arriving before 1656. Richard Stockton Sr. was his name appears on a petition requesting the release of William Wickenden, who had been imprisoned for preaching without a licence, on 8 November 1656 at Flushing, Long Island, New York. He firmly styled himself "yeoman," not "gentleman" on all document, despite the supposed gentle descent.⁸ He began military service on 22 April 1665 at Flushing, New York, commissioned by Colonel Nicolls, governor of the colony, as a Lieutenant of Horse.⁹

     Matthias Mårtensson Sr. was born in 1669 at Ammansland (Ridley Township), Chester County, Pennsylvania.¹ He was the son of Mårten Mårtensson Sr. and N. N. (?). Matthias Mårtensson Sr. married Anna Gustafsdotter Justis, daughter of Johan Gustafsson and Brita Månsdotter, circa 1690; Her 1st.^2,1 Matthias Mårtensson Sr. lived circa 1693 at Ridley Township.³

In 1693, Matthias Mårtensson Sr. was enumerated with Mårten Mårtensson Sr. on the census at Ammansland, Ridley Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.⁵

Matthias Mårtensson Sr. witnessed the will of Mårten Mårtensson Sr. in May 1703; In lieu of a will, he signed two deeds dividing his lands between his two youngest sons. The home plantation (the Morton Homestead) was given to his son Matthias "for taking care and maintaining of me and my wife during the remainder of our natural lives." The rest of Mårten's lands at Ammansland and on Raccoon Creek were divided between Matthias and Andrew.² Matthias Mårtensson Sr. built a log cabin at the Morton Homestead, adjacent to his father's. This cabin is the oldest log cabin still standing in America today.² He inherited the Morton Homestead, where he'd lived all his life, (and this homestead is now listed in the National Register of Historic Places), in 1706.^3,6 He and Anna Gustafsdotter Justis had seven children by her first marriage, including Maria.³ Matthias Mårtensson Sr. died in December 1707 at age 38 years.^3,2,1 Matthias Mårtensson Sr. was buried in Gloria Dei.      Sarah Butterworth was born on 28 May 1653 at Rehoboth, Massachusetts.² She was the daughter of John Butterworth and Sarah (?).¹ Sarah Butterworth married William Hayward, son of William Hayward of London and Margery Knight, before 1672 at Massachusetts; His 1st.¹ Sarah Butterworth died before 1708.¹

     Guertje Harmens Coerton was born circa 1652 at Voorhuysen, Guelderland, Holland, Netherlands.^2,1 She was the daughter of Harmen Coerton of Voorhuysen and Aertje Gerrits.¹ Guertje Harmens Coerton accompanied the immigration of Harmen Coerton of Voorhuysen on 12 February 1659 to New Utrecht, New York, New Netherlands; Aboard the ship De Trouw (The Faith) were "Harmen Coerten, from Voorhuysen and wife and 5 children." The ship was captained by Jan Jansen Bestevaer.^3,1 Guertje Harmens Coerton married Hendrick Matthyse Smock, son of Matthys (?) and N. N. Jansen, circa 1668 at New Utrecht, Kings County Long Island, New York.¹ Guertje Harmens Coerton and Hendrick Matthyse Smock were became members of the Reformed Dutch Church under Domine Van Zuuren in 1678 at New Utrecht, New York.⁴ Guertje Harmens Coerton and Hendrick Matthyse Smock deeded, as Hendrick Mattyse of New Utrecht and wife Gertie, Aert Van Pelt of same place, land there bounded by that of Hendrick Mattyse formerly in possession of John Van Cleeff, Nicholas De Meyer, and others, but "now in possession of Hendrick Mattyse," both signing, she by mark, on 20 April 1697 at New Utrecht, New York.⁵ Guertje Harmens Coerton appeared on the census of 1698 in the household of Hendrick Matthyse Smock at Kings County, New York; "Freeholder of New Utrecht, with wife and four children." Guertje Harmens Coerton witnessed (or was recognized by) the probate of the estate of Guert Coerton after 17 August 1701 at Bergen, New Jersey; Guertje Harmens, wife of Hendrick Matthyse Smock, is mentioned as "his brothers daughter" and Matthyse Hendricksen Smack as the oldest son of Guertje Harmens.⁶ Guertje Harmens Coerton died in 1708 at Staten Island, Richmond, New York.⁷

     Also called Elizabeth Wilmot.² Also called Elizabeth Willmot.⁴ Elizabeth Wilmarth was daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth.^5,6 She was born on 4 April 1647 at Braintree, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.³ She was the daughter of Ensign Thomas Wilmarth and Elizabeth Bliss.^2,3 Elizabeth Wilmarth married Jonathan Fuller of Rehoboth, son of Robert Fuller of Rehoboth and Ann (?), on 14 December 1664 at Rehoboth, Bristol County, Massachusetts.^2,4 Elizabeth Wilmarth died in 1708 at Massachusetts at age 60 years.¹

     Daniel Brewer was born say 1628. He was the son of Daniel Brewer of Roxbury.² Daniel Brewer was mentioned in his father's will, and said to be unmarried on 12 January 1646.² He was recognized in the will of Daniel Brewer of Roxbury on 12 January 1645/46; Daniel Brewer of Roxbury, husbandman, divided his lands between his wife Joanna and his son Daniel, and bequeathed money and movables to son Nathaniel and daughters Ann, Joanna and Sarah; Daniel and the three daughters are stated to be unmarried; Isaac Morrell and Edward Bridge to be overseers; witnessed by William Dennison and Edward Bridge; signed by mark ("D B").² Daniel Brewer married Hannah Morrill, daughter of Isaac Morrill of Hatfield Broadoak, on 5 November 1652 at Roxbury, Suffolk, Massachusetts.^1,3 Daniel Brewer was a member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company in 1666 at Boston, Massachusetts.¹ He died in 1708.¹

Hendrick Matthyse Smock was born circa 1644 at Utrecht, Utrecht Province, Netherlands. He was the son of Matthys (?) and N. N. Jansen. Hendrick Matthyse Smock immigrated to New Amsterdam, New Netherlands, arriving 1654.^5,7,8 He accompanied the immigration of Swaine Jansen in 1654 to New Utrecht, Kings County, New York; from Utrecht, the Netherlands. Hendrick Matthyse Smock was bought land on 16 January 1665 at New Utrecht, Kings County Long Island, New York. His purchase was for plantation lot 10, containing 30 morgans (about 60 acres), from Jacques Cortelyou.⁹ He married Guertje Harmens Coerton, daughter of Harmen Coerton of Voorhuysen and Aertje Gerrits, circa 1668 at New Utrecht, Kings County Long Island, New York.⁵ Hendrick Matthyse Smock was appointed as the first magistrate (or constable) in 1669 at New Utrecht, Kings County Long Island, New York. This appointment was under the English following the submission of the Dutch powers to the English in 1664. He was further appointed magistrate in 1673, 1676, 1679, 1682, and 1689.¹⁰

     Catharina Fonteyn was baptized on 18 March 1705 at the Reformed Dutch Church, New Amsterdam, Kings County, New York.¹ She was the daughter of Jacques Jacobus Fonteyn and Anna Webber. Catharina Fonteyn died before October 1708. Another daughter (the 3rd now) named Catharina followed.

     Catalyna Ver Planck was the ancestor of Theodore Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt.¹ She was born in February 1638/39.¹ She was the daughter of Abraham Isaacson Ver Planck and Maria Vigne.^1,2 Catalyna Ver Planck married David Pieterse Schuyler on 13 October 1657 at New Amsterdam, New York.^1,2 Catalyna Ver Planck died on 8 October 1708 at age 69 years and 8 months.

     George of Denmark, Duke of Cumberland was born on 2 April 1653 at Copenhagen.³ He was the son of Frederick III, King of Denmark and Norway and Sofie Amalie von Braunschweig-Lüneburg.^2,3 George of Denmark, Duke of Cumberland married Anne, Queen of England, Scotland and Ireland, daughter of James II, King of England, Scotland and Ireland and Anne Hyde, on 28 July 1683 at St. James's Palace.¹ George of Denmark, Duke of Cumberland died on 28 October 1708 at Kensington, England, at age 55 years, 6 months and 26 days.¹

     Isaac Horner of Northampton was a Quaker. He was born in October 1648 at England. He was christened on 6 October 1648 at Kirkgate, Yorkshire, England.³ He was christened on 8 October 1648 at St. Peter's, Leeds, Yorkshire, England.² He was the son of Bartholomew Horner Sr. and Bridget (?).^2,3 Isaac Horner of Northampton was granted by the Town the priviledge of the stream at the Beaver Swamp by the Shore, so called, to set up a Fulling Mill between 1677 and 1678 at Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York.⁴ He was signed a certificate which allowed his wife-to-be, Lydia Wright, to go to Barbadoes on 30 December 1682 at Quarterly Meeting, Flushing, Long Island, New York.⁵ He was a witness where Lydia Wright given a certificate to pass the winter with the Quaker settlement in the West Indies on 30 December 1682 at 10th month, the Quarterly Meeting, Flushing, Long Island, New York.⁵ Isaac Horner of Northampton was granted, for a second time, the priviledge of the stream at the Beaver Swamp between 1684 and 1685 at Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York.⁴ He married Lydia Wright, daughter of Sergt. Peter Wright Sr. and Alice Way, on 17 March 1683/84 at the Meeting House, Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York.^6,7,5 Isaac Horner of Northampton was involved in the Friends Church (it was he that recorded the births in a list which remained preserved in New York, in the 15th Street Meeting House, as late as 1912) in 1685. He was assigned as executor to his mother-in-law, Alice Crab nee Wright, in 1685. He witnessed the will of Alice Way on 22 April 1685 at 2nd month, Oyster Bay, New York, America; "In the name of God, Amen. I, Alice Crabb, of Oyster Bay, leave to my daughter Lydia Horner, the shares of meadow, adjoining the medow once of Nicholas Simkins, in the Town meadow. And two shares by the will of my brother-in-law Anthony Wright. I leave to my daughter Mary Andres, and my grandchild, Job Townsend, all my land and meadow at the South, and at the Plains, all which did belong to my brother Anthony Wright. I leave to my granddaughter Alice Townsend, one little iron pot and pewter plate. My negro man is to be free, but he has to pay oe 4 to Simon Cooper and James Townsend for the use of my grandson Job Townsend. I leave to my three sons Gideon Wright, Jacob Wright, and Adam Wright, 5 shillings each. I make my two sons-in-law Samuel Andrews and Isaac Horner executors."^8,7 Isaac Horner of Northampton and Lydia Wright resettled in October 1685 at New Jersey.⁵ Isaac Horner of Northampton was witness to the will of John Woolston of Mansfield on 12 May 1698 at Burlington County, New Jersey.¹ He witnessed the will of John Woolstone of Mansfield on 12 May 1698 at Mansfield, Burlington County, New Jersey; Wolston, John, of Mansfield, Burlington Co; will of. “My now wife” Hannah. Children – Jonathan, Samuel, Hanah, Mary, Sarah, Rebeckah, Elizabeth. Real and personal estate. The wife sole executrix with John Day and Joseph Cooper of Newtown as overseers.      Hannah Stockton was born in 1658 at Flushing, New York.¹ She was born in 1680.² She was the daughter of Richard Stockton Sr. and Abigail Bloomfield.¹ Hannah Stockton married Phillip Phillips, son of Theophilus Phillips Sr. and Anna Hunt, circa 1701; His 1st.^1,2 Hannah Stockton died before 1710.²

     Susanna Lucas of Broughton near Banbury was born circa 1627 at Hortun, Oxfordshire, England. She was the daughter of John Lucas and Ann (?). Susanna Lucas of Broughton near Banbury was christened on 29 January 1627/28 at Guilsborough, Northamptonshire, England. She married Captain John "Old Trooper" Rush of Hornton, son of Thomas Rush and Thomasine Stansted, on 8 June 1648 at Hortun, Oxfordshire, England.^1,2,3,4 Susanna Lucas of Broughton near Banbury died in 1710.

     David Willemsen was born circa 1676 at Flatlands, Kings County, New York. He married Marretje Van Neste, daughter of Pieter Pietersen Van Nest and Judith Jorise Rapalje, circa 1698. David Willemsen died in 1710 at Somerset County, New Jersey.

     Also called Kolsberg.² Sven Colesberry was born circa 1676 at Sweden. He was newly arrived in 1701 at New Netherlands. He married Elizabeth Andersson, daughter of Hendrick Andersson Smith and Margareta Mattsson, before June 1701; Her 1st.¹ Sven Colesberry gave a promissory note for the payment of quitrents due on two 80-acre lots then owned by his wife's mother, Margaret Smith, on 20 June 1701.² He died in 1710.¹

     William Cooper of Coleshill was an eminent member of the Society of Friends, and participated in everything that went to the advancement and stability of the church whose tenets he had espoused.⁴ He was a Quaker.⁴ "Samuel Smith, in his history of New Jersey, does not fix the time of the arrival of this person with his family; which was probably not for a year after the first emigrants had come to Burlington. Neither is the name of the vessel given, the place of landing nor the names of those who came with him."³ He was progenitor of the Cooper family in America.^2,5 He was a preacher among the Society of Friends, and lived at a time when the expounders of such doctrines were especially obnoxious to the mass of the people of Great Britain; he, therefore, like others, suffered much thereby; but, before his death, he saw the success of these doctrines and their free development in the land of his adoption.⁴ He and Margaret (?) were a member of the Society of Friends and members of the Upperside Monthly Meeting, in whose minutes the records of the births of their children may be found.⁶ William Cooper of Coleshill was born in 1632 at London, England.^7,8 He was a blacksmith after coming of age after 1653 at Coleshill, in the parish of Amersham, Hertfordshire, England.⁶ He was the William Cooper of Coleshill in 1660 at the parish of Amersham, Hertfordshire, England.³ He married Margaret (?).^2,6 William Cooper of Coleshill "suffered, both in estate and person, from those who considered that they were doing God's service, in molesting such as chose to differ from them in opinion and practice,--despoiling him of his horses and cattle, and dragging him to prison from the place where he was attending religious service".⁶ He lived before 1675 at the parish of Amersham, Hertfordshire, England; at Coleshill.⁶ "WHEREAS, William Cooper, of Coleshill, in the parish of Amersham, and the county of Hertford, hath signified unto us that he hath an intention, if the Lord permit, to transport himself with his wife and children unto the plantation of West New Jersey, and hath desired a testimonial from this meeting for the satisfaction of Friends there or elsewhere, unto whom he may be outwardly unknown;
"We, therefore, whose names are here underwritten, do hereby certify all whom it may concern, that the said William Cooper and Margaret, his wife, having lived in these parts for many years, ever since the first of their convincement, have walked conscienciously and honestly among us, agreeably to the profession and testimony of truth, according to the best of our observation and knowledge of them.
"In witness whereof, we have hereunto set our hands, this, the fifth day of the twelfth month, 1678." At Coleshill, in the parish of Amersham, Hertfordshire, England, in 1678. He immigrated to West New Jersey arriving between 1679 and 5 October 1680.⁹ He was the first settler of Newton Township at New Jersey.¹ He selected fifty acres within the town bounds of Burlington, and had the same surveyed and returned to himself on 5 October 1680.⁹ He was the earliest settler to effect improvements upon his land and to retain ownership through his descendants.⁵ He settled with his family on 300 acres in a wooded area near the mouth of the present Coopers Creek, named his estate Pyne Point and later established one of the earliest ferries to Philadelphia, in 1681 at New Jersey.⁵ He was the William Cooper of Pyne point in 1682 at New Jersey.³ He was one of the three families, the other two being that of John Kaighns and Archibald Mickles, whose lands would eventually become the city of Camden at New Jersey.⁵ He was a member of the first Legislature that sat for the framing of laws, a work of great labor, but, in the end, it showed good judgment and practical common sense at New Jersey.¹⁰ He was again returned as a member of the Legislature, and also continued commissioner for the division of land in 1685 at New Jersey.¹⁰ He was a member of the Council of Proprietors of West Jersey in 1687/88 at New Jersey.¹¹ He was appointed one of the judges of the several courts of the county of Gloucester in 1696 at New Jersey.¹⁰ He witnessed the will of John Woolstone of Mansfield on 12 May 1698 at Mansfield, Burlington County, New Jersey; Wolston, John, of Mansfield, Burlington Co; will of. “My now wife” Hannah. Children – Jonathan, Samuel, Hanah, Mary, Sarah, Rebeckah, Elizabeth. Real and personal estate. The wife sole executrix with John Day and Joseph Cooper of Newtown as overseers. Witnesses – William Cooper, Elizabeth Day and Isaac Horner.¹² William Cooper of Coleshill left a will; In his will, he named his children and disposed of the remainder of his property. His personal estate amounted to upwards of seven hundred pounds sterling,--a large sum for the times, but of small account in these days of wealth and pretension. Under the residuary clause of his will, parts of the estate passed to his grandchildren, who, at the time of his death, were John Cooper, Hannah Mickle, Mary Thackara, Joseph Cooper, Benjamin Cooper, Isaac Cooper, Lydia Cox, Hannah Thackara, Sarah Raper, Samuel Cooper, Daniel Cooper, Jonathan Woolstan, Samuel Woolstan, Mary Bunting, Sarah Borton, Elizabeth Wills, William Cooper, Rebecca Smith, Hannah Nicholson, and Elizabeth Mickle.⁴ He died in 1710 at age 78 years.^5,13

     Joanna Rockwood was born on 25 August 1669 at Mendon, Massachusetts.¹ She was the daughter of John Rockwood of Mendon and Johanna Ford.¹ Joanna Rockwood married Nicholas Cook Sr. on 4 November 1684 at Mendon, Worcester County, Massachusetts; His 1st.^2,3 Joanna Rockwood died in 1710 at Bellingham, Massachusetts, at age 40 years.⁴

     Abraham Foster was born in 1622 at Exeter, England.¹ He was the son of Reginald Foster of Ipswich and Judith (?).¹ Abraham Foster married Lydia Burbank, daughter of Caleb Burbank of Rowley and Martha (?), in 1655.² Abraham Foster died on 15 January 1710 at Ipswich, Massachusetts, at age 88 years.¹

     Also called Pietter Stalcop. Peter Johansson Stalcop was born circa 1664 at Christiana Creek, New Castle County, Delaware.^3,4,2 He was the son of Gunner Johan Andersson Stalcop and Christina Carlsdotter. Peter Johansson Stalcop witnessed the will of Gunner Johan Andersson Stalcop on 29 August 1679; His will made bequests to his wife, Christina Carlsdotter, and seven children.⁵ Peter Johansson Stalcop married Catharina Samuelsdotter, daughter of Samuel Petersson and Brita Jönsdotter, circa 1683 at Fort Christina, New Castle County, Delaware; Her 1st.⁴ Peter Johansson Stalcop settled on the east side of Red Clay Creek between 1683 and 1693 at Christina Hundred, Delaware.

He was assigned a pew, and recognized as a founding member, at the Holy Trinity Church, with his wife Catharina and noted as from West of Brandywine Creek, on 24 June 1699 at Fort Christina (now Wilmington), Delaware.⁶ He left a will on 3 September 1709.² He operated a large plantation on Red Clay Creek before 1710.⁴ He died on 10 April 1710 at New Castle County, Delaware. Survived by six children.⁴ His estate was probated on 16 May 1710.²

     Robert Hibbert of Beverly was born on 7 March 1648 at Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts.^1,2 He was the son of Robert Hibbert of Salem and Joan (?).^1,2 Robert Hibbert of Beverly was baptized on 7 May 1648 at Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts.³ He married Mary Walden, daughter of Edward Walden of Wenham and Joan Crib.⁴ Robert Hibbert of Beverly removed from Wenham to Windham in 1700 at Connecticut.^2,5 He brought a letter to the Congregational Church on 29 October 1700 at Windham, Connecticut.⁵ He was a person of great activity and energy.⁵ It is said that many curious incidents occurred in the life of this man, making it quite romantic.⁵ He died on 29 April 1710 at Windham, Connecticut, at age 62 years, 1 month and 22 days.^6,7 His estate was probated on 2 October 1710 at Hartford, Connecticut.⁵

     Elizabeth Holt was born on 30 March 1636 at Newbury, Massachusetts.^1,2,3 She was the daughter of Nicholas Holt of Newbury and Elizabeth Short.¹ Elizabeth Holt removed to Andover and was one of the founders of the church in 1645 at Andover, Massachusetts.² She married Ralph Farnum Sr., son of Ralph Farnum of Andover and Alice Farnum, Mrs., on 26 October 1658 at Andover, Massachusetts.^1,4 Elizabeth Holt died on 14 October 1710 at Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts, at age 74 years, 6 months and 14 days.¹

     John Hitchcock was born in 1642.² He married Hannah Chapin, daughter of Deacon Samuel Chapin of Springfield and Cecily Penny, on 27 September 1666; With 9 children.^1,3,4 John Hitchcock died circa 1711.²

     Sarah Hayward was born in 1677.¹ She was the daughter of Jonathan Hayward and Sarah Thayer.² Sarah Hayward married Benjamin Thayer Sr., son of Ferdinando Tayer of Mendon and Huldah Hayward of Braintree, on 15 September 1699; His 1st.^1,2,3 Sarah Hayward died in 1711 at age 34 years.^1,2

     Hannah Marshfield was born on 20 July 1661 at Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Marshfield of Springfield and Hester Wright.¹ Hannah Marshfield died in 1711 at age 49 years.¹

     Louis "Le Granc Dauphin" de Bourbon was born in 1661.² He was the son of roi de France Louis XIV "Le Roi Soleil" de Bourbon and Maria Theresa von Habsburg.¹ Louis "Le Granc Dauphin" de Bourbon died in 1711 at age 50 years.²

     Colonel William Randolph was born in 1651 at Yorkshire, England.³ He was the son of Richard Randolph and Elizabeth Riland.^1,2 Colonel William Randolph married Mary Isham before 1678.^1,4,5 Colonel William Randolph died on 10 April 1711 at Turkey Island, Henrico County, Virginia, at age 60 years.⁵

     This John Sweetland's last name is spelled Sweatland in the record of their marriage, Swetland in the record of the baptism of their first seven children at Marblehead, and Sweetland in the vital records of the family in Attleboro, Massachusetts.¹ Arnold Mills, Rhode Island, is about six miles west-northwest of Attleboro, Mass. John Oliver Sweetland was born in 1646 at Salem?, Essex County?, Massachusetts.² He was the son of John Sweetland and Temperance (?).¹ John Oliver Sweetland was baptized in 1651.² He married Rebecca Clark, daughter of Matthew Clark of Marblehead and Abigail Maverick, on 4 August 1684 at Marblehead, Massachusetts.^3,1 John Oliver Sweetland died on 9 June 1711 at Attleboro, Bristol County, Massachusetts, at age 65 years.³ He died on 9 June 1711 at Abbotts Run Valley by Arnold Mills, Rhode Island, at age 65 years.² John Oliver Sweetland was buried in Peck Cemetery, Arnold Mills, Rhode Island.²

     Hannah Chandler was baptized on 22 May 1630 at Bishops-Stortford, Hertfordshire, England.³ She was the daughter of Willliam Chandler of Roxbury and Annis Bayford.^1,2 Hannah Chandler accompanied the immigration of Willliam Chandler of Roxbury in 1637 to New England; He brought his wife and four small children, Thomas, Hannah, John and William. His fifth child, Sarah, was born here.⁴ Hannah Chandler married George Abbott of Roxbury, then Andover, son of George Abbott of Bishops-Stortford and Elizabeth (?), on 12 December 1646 at Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts.^5,6,7 Hannah Chandler died on 11 June 1711 at Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts, at age 81 years and 20 days.¹

     Marie Anna of Courland was born on 12 June 1653 at Mitau.¹ She married Karl, Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel, son of Wilhelm VI, Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel, on 21 May 1673 at Kassel.¹ Marie Anna of Courland died on 16 June 1711 at Weilmünster at age 58 years and 4 days.¹

     Hans Gustafsson Justis was born in 1662 at Kingsessing (West Philadelphia).¹ He was the son of Johan Gustafsson and Brita Månsdotter.¹ Hans Gustafsson Justis married Maria Ollesdotter, daughter of Olle (?) and Brita Rawson, circa 1684.¹ Hans Gustafsson Justis lived circa 1685 at Naaman's Creek.¹ He and Maria Ollesdotter had at least six children, including a daughter Lydia.¹ Hans Gustafsson Justis and Maria Ollesdotter established a new residence in 1700 at Cecil County, Maryland.¹ Hans Gustafsson Justis died circa 1712 at Northeast, Maryland.¹

     Catarina LeFebre was born in 1648 at La Rochelle, France.¹ She was the daughter of Abraham Anthonie LeFebre and Antionetter Jeerian Vilain.¹ Catarina LeFebre married Bourgeon Broucard on 8 December 1666 at Walloon Church, Mannheim, Germany.¹ Catarina LeFebre died in 1712 at Raritan, Somerset County, New Jersey, at age 64 years.¹

     Elizabeth (?) was born circa 1640. She married Captain John Adams, son of John Adams and Ellen Newton, in 1663.^1,2,3 Elizabeth (?) died after 1712.

     Abigail Veasey was born in 1661.¹ She married Thomas Thayer III, son of Thomas Jr. Tayer of Braintree and Hannah Tayer, Mrs., on 25 March 1680 at Braintree, Massachusetts Colony, New England.^2,3 Abigail Veasey died on 11 January 1712 at age 51 years.²

     Japhet Chapin was born on 15 October 1642 at Roxbury, Massachusetts.^1,2 He was the son of Deacon Samuel Chapin of Springfield and Cecily Penny.¹ Japhet Chapin died on 20 February 1712 at age 69 years, 4 months and 5 days.³

     Sarah Jackson was born on 5 January 1650 at Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Jackson and Elizabeth Newgate.¹ Sarah Jackson was baptized on 21 April 1650 at Boston, Massachusetts.¹ She married Reverend Nehemiah Hobart on 21 March 1678.¹ Sarah Jackson died on 23 February 1712 at age 62 years, 1 month and 18 days.¹

     Thomas Austin was born on 12 September 1671 at Boston, Essex County, Massachusetts.^2,3 He was the son of Samuel Austin and Hopestill Bell.¹ Thomas Austin married Hannah Foster, daughter of Andrew Foster Jr. and Mary Russ, on 15 September 1690 at Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts.^1,4 Thomas Austin lived before 1711 at Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts.¹ He moved across the Merrimack River to Haverhill, later to become Methuen in 1711.¹ He was a colonial soldier serving in the expedition against Port Royal, serving in the company commanded by Capt. John Chandler, North Essex Regiment in 1710/11.⁵ He died on 23 March 1711/12 at the Merrimack River at age 40 years, 6 months and 11 days. Drowned in the Merrimack River while crossing after Meeting on Sabbath Day.^1,6 His estate was probated on 20 April 1714; The inventory dated Apr. 20, 1714, mentioned among other things 150 acres of land, books, arms and powder, and livestock. The widow received one third of his property. The remainder was divided among the following children: Thomas Austin 2 shares, and Benjamin, Daniel, Zebediah, Abiel, and Hannah one share each.⁷

     Deacon Peter Holbrook of Mendon and Alice Godfrey were an ancestor of U.S. President William Howard Taft.³ Deacon Peter Holbrook of Mendon was born on 7 March 1655 at Braintree, Massachusetts.^5,6,7 He was the son of Thomas Holbrooke and Joanna Kingman.^2,3,4 Deacon Peter Holbrook of Mendon witnessed the will of Thomas Holbrooke of Weymouth on 31 December 1668 at Weymouth, Norfolk County, Massachusetts; "Being sick and weak," he made his will, bequeathing unto his wife Jane, his sons John Holbrooke, William Holbrook, and Thomas Holbrook, and unto his daughters Anne Reynolds, Elizabeth Hatch, and Jane Drake, and unto his grandchildren John Holbrook, Peter Holbrook, and William Holbrook, and to all his grandchildren that shall be living at his wife Jane's death, his property. He said that his grandson Peter had served him and his wife in their old age for about eight years, for which he was to have his dwelling house in Weymouth with the orchard and the arable land.^8,3,9 Deacon Peter Holbrook of Mendon married Alice Godfrey, daughter of Richard Godfrey Sr. and Mary Jane Turner, in 1677 at Weymouth, Massachusetts.^10,11,12 Deacon Peter Holbrook of Mendon acquired, by a Deed of Sale, the forty acre lot of his grandfather William on 2 December 1679 at Mendon, Massachusetts.¹³ He acquired, by a Deed of Sale, a forty acre lot from Samuel Read on 13 January 1686 at Mendon, Massachusetts.¹⁴ He had the Deed of Sale, for the forty acres of Samuel Read, acknowledged before John Usher, Esq., on 14 January 1686 at Mendon, Massachusetts.¹⁴ He had the Deed of Sale, for his forty acres, acknowledged by a Justice of the Peace on 7 November 1692 at Mendon, Massachusetts.¹³ He left a will on 16 January 1712 at Mendon, Massachusetts.⁴ He was enjoined by a town vote to trade thirty acres of land already laid out on the east side of the river and take up land on the west side of the pond on 3 March 1712 at Mendon, Massachusetts.¹ He died on 3 May 1712 at Mendon, Worcester County, Massachusetts, at age 57 years, 1 month and 26 days.^2,15 His estate was probated on 29 May 1712 at Mendon, Massachusetts.⁴ He was a witness where Alice Godfrey an ancestor of U.S. President William Howard Taft.³ Deacon Peter Holbrook of Mendon was identified as deceased in land records on 29 November 1717 at Mendon, Massachusetts.¹⁶

     Ingeborg Stidham was born circa 1664 at Delaware. She was the daughter of Timmel Stiddem and N. N. (?). Ingeborg Stidham married Peter Jaquet, son of Jean Paul Jaquet, before 1686.¹ Ingeborg Stidham died before 1713. She was survived by six known children.
