     John de Sutton, Lord of Dudley Castle was born circa 1290.2 He was the son of Sir Richard de Sutton and Isabel Patrick.2 John de Sutton, Lord of Dudley Castle married Margery de Somery, Baroness Dudley.2,1 John de Sutton, Lord of Dudley Castle was engaged in wars in Scotland between 1316 and 1320.1 He was in the retinue of his brother-in-law, John de Somery between 1318 and 1329.1 He was knighted in 1326.1 Lord of Dudley Castle at Staffordshire, England, in 1326.1 He died between 1327 and 1338.2 He was gave up the manors of Sedgley, Swinford and Rowley-Somery, as well as other lands, not obtaining restitution until Edward III became king.1 He was accused of complicity in the rebellion of Thomas Earl of Lancaster against the king, and was extorted to give up all his right and interest in the castle and town of Dudley to Hugh le Despencer.1 He died circa 1359.1

He died 20th Edward II at a very advanced age. He had immense possessions, with great weight and authority; he was prominent in the chief events of his time, and attended his sovereigns on all important occassions of war or council. On his decease, his son John, and his grandson Edmund, being dead, and his great-granddaughter Isabel, being also dead, without issue, was succeeded by William, his grandson, as 9th Lord d'Eyncourt.2,4

He was the son of Robert (de Vere), 5th Earl of Oxford, Hereditary Master Chamberlain of England and Alice de Sanford.1 Sir Alfonso de Vere of Great Hormead married Jane Foliot, daughter of Jordon, 1st Lord Foliot and Margery de Newmarch, before 1301.2,3,4 Sir Alfonso de Vere of Great Hormead inherited Great Hormead, Hertfordshire, from his mother, who was heiress of Gilbert de Sanford, Chamberlain at the Queen's Coronation at Hertfordshire, England.5 He was summoned (from Tendring, Essex) against the Scots, and (from Buckinghamshire) was returned as a knight fit for service and accustomed to arms, though above 60 in 1322.5 He was presented to the church of Cowesby, Yorkshire as its patron in 1324.6 He was summoned, by proclamation, to attend the Great Council at Westminster in May 1324.5 He died before 20 December 1328.5 Sir Alfonso de Vere of Great Hormead was buried in St. Albans Abbey.5

He was the son of Edmund, 1st Baron Mortimer of Wigmore and Margaret de Fiennes.2 Arms: Fascé d'or et d'azur, au chef palé du second et du premier, chargé à dextre d'un canton tranché du premier et du second, et à senestre d'un canton taillé du premier et du second, à un écusson d'hermine, pendant du chef, brochant en coeur.4 Roger, 1st Earl of March married Joan de Geneville, daughter of Piers de Geneville, Lord of Mede, Vaucouleur, and Trim and Jeanne de Lusignan dit de la Marche, in 1301.5 Roger, 1st Earl of March was by right of his wife, Lord of Meath and Trim.6,7 Feast of the Swan: Edward I, king of England, knighted his son Edward II at Westminster Abbey. The prince served his vigil, was knighted in private by the king, and then himself knighted the other 260 men who were accorded the accolade at the same time. And "all given splendid robes (of purple satin, fine linen and robes sewn with the finest gold) and Westminster Abbey rang with the clamour of trumpets and shouts of joy." At the feast following, the king had two swans brought in, swearing ‘before God and the swans’ to ‘avenge the death John Comyn of Badenock and to fight the infidels in the Holy Land. On 22 May 1306 at Westminster Abbey, London, England. He was knighted by the Prince of Wales (the future Edward II) with some 260 other young noblemen and "all given splendid robes and Westminster Abbey rang with the clamour of trumpets and shouts of joy" on 22 May 1306 at Westminster Abbey, London, England. He associated with Isabelle, Queen of England, daughter of Philippe IV "le Bel", roi de France and Jeanne I, reine de Navarre, in 1325 at Paris, France; While living in exile in France he won Edward II's wife Isabella of France as his mistress. Roger, 1st Earl of March was a witness where Isabelle, Queen of England invaded England and forced Edward to abdicate in favour of her son, the young Edward III in September 1326. 1st Earl of March at the Welsh Marches, England, between March 1327 and October 1330.8 Roger, 1st Earl of March was a witness where William de Montagu, King of the Isle of Man performed his best service, perhaps, by bringing the famous Mortimer Earl of March, the Queen's gallant, to punishment in October 1330 at 4 Edward III.9 Roger, 1st Earl of March was captured and imprisoned by Edward III of England, whom he'd helped to throne, and Henry, Earl of Lancaster, in October 1330 at Nottingham Castle, England. He was a witness where Sir John de Nevill rewarded for his part in the arrest of Roger de Mortimer, Earl of March, after October 1330.10 Roger, 1st Earl of March died on 29 November 1330 at Tyburn, England, at age 43 years, 7 months and 4 days. He was hanged "like a common criminal" on the orders of King Edward III.2

On 22 July 1298 at the Battle of Falkirk, Scotland.3 Arms: Quarterly gules and or, in the first quarter a mullet argent.4 Robert (de Vere), 6th Earl of Oxford fought for King Edward I in the victory over the Scots led by William Wallace on 22 July 1298 at the Battle of Falkirk, Scotland.5 He inherited, from his mother, the manor in Fingrith at Chigwell, Essex.6 He died on 17 April 1331. Her 1st.3,4,1 Alina de Braose was betrothed, at age six, by her father to his ward, John de Mowbray, then age 10, in 1297.1 She married John, Lord Mowbray, son of Roger, Lord Mowbray and Rohese de Clare, before 1310; Her 1st.2,3,4 Alina de Braose fled with her son, John, on the news of her husbands defeat and execution, by boat to Ilfracombe in March 1323 at Devon, England.1 She was discovered in their hiding place, and she and her son were thrown in the Tower of London.1 She married Richard de Peshale after 1327; Her 2nd.1 Alina de Braose died before 30 July 1331.2

He died a minor, probably aged about 5 years.1
