Sir Hugh de Cailly of Owby was the son of Adam de Cailly and Mabel (?).2 Shown in the Charlemagne Pedigrees as son of Adam/Osbert de Cailly and Emma de Tattehall, descendant of Charlemagne. Burkes says it's disputed who married Emma, Osbert, or Osbert's son Adam, but it is clear that Adam's son, Edmund, did not inherit any of the Tatteshall estates, and so Adam was probably not her son. Burkes does show Osbert, married to Emma, as the BROTHER of Hugo of Owby, which my line clearly is. The Charlemagne Pedigrees takes two brothers, Osbert and Hugo, as shown by Burkes, and makes the first the father of the second.2,1 Of Owby at Norfolk, England.2,3 Also called Hugo.2 Sir Hugh de Cailly of Owby married Agnes de Hansted, daughter of Hamo de Hansted.1,3 Sir Hugh de Cailly of Owby died in 1286.3

It is difficult to know when Juliane was born but I would estimate around 1261, as noble women were generally around 14 when their marriages were consummated..
