     Eve de Braose inherited, as her part of the inheritance, the lands of Abergavenny at Wales.² She was born circa 1230.⁴ She was the daughter of William de Braose, 6th Baron of Brecknock and Eva Marshall.^2,1,3 Eve de Braose married William de Cantilupe, Baron Abergavenny, son of William de Cantilupe and Millicent de Gournay, before 15 February 1247/48.^2,5 Eve de Braose was buried in priory church of Saint Mary, Abergavenny, Wales. The remarkable tomb of Eva de Braose at Saint Mary's priory church in Abergavenny shows the Cantilupe arms of her husband on her shield. In her cupped hands she holds an object thought to be a heart.¹ She died in 1255.^1,5

     Marguerite de Bourbon was born in 1211.³ She was the daughter of Archambaud VIII "le Grand" de Dampierre, sire de Bourbon and Guigone de Forez.² Marguerite de Bourbon married Thibaud I "le Chansonnier", rey de Navarra, son of Thibaut III, comte de Champagne and Blanca Sánchez de Navarra, on 12 September 1232; His 3rd.⁴ Marguerite de Bourbon died on 12 April 1256 at Provins, Île-de-France, France, at age 45 years.⁵

     Mafalda de Borgonha was born circa 1190.¹ She was the daughter of Sancho I "O Funador", rei de Portugal and Dulcia II, rainha de Portugal.¹ Mafalda de Borgonha married rey de Castilla Henrique I Alfonsez, son of Alfonso VIII Sánchez "el de Las Navas", rey de Castilla and reina de Castilla Eleanor d' Anjou, in 1215; The marriage never consumated.¹ Mafalda de Borgonha died on 1 May 1256 at Rio Tinto (Amarante).¹ She was beatified on 27 June 1793.¹

     Tsar of Bulgaria Mikhail II Asên was the son of Tsar of Bulgaria Ivan Asên II Belgun. Tsar of Bulgaria between 1246 and 1257.^1,2 Tsar of Bulgaria Mikhail II Asên invaded Thrace and Macedonia in 1255.³ He was a witness where basileus Rhomaiôn Theodore II Laskaris compelled the Bulgar tsar Michael II Asen, who had invaded Thrace and Macedonia, but was then defeated after victorious campaigns by the Greeks, to sign a treaty in May 1256.³ Tsar of Bulgaria Mikhail II Asên died circa 1257.

     Patrick de Chaworth was born circa 1221. He was the son of Pain de Chaworth and Gundred de la Ferte.² Patrick de Chaworth compounded, being underaged, with the king for his own wardship and marriage, paying £500 for the same, in 1238/39 at 23 Henry III.² He married Hawise de Londres, daughter of Sir Thomas de Londres, before 1245.² Lord of Kidwilly at Wales after 1245.³ Patrick de Chaworth received a precept from the crown, whereby he was commanded to use his power and diligence to annoy the Welsh then in hostility, in 1244/45 at 29 Henry III.² Arms: Barry of twelve argent and gules.⁴ He died in 1257.²

     Basileus Rhomaiôn Theodore II Laskaris was the grandson Theodore I Laskaris and son of John III Vatatzes.⁴ He was an able ruler, a good soldier, and a man of letters; he succeeded in holding together the prosperous state east of Constantinople bequeathed to him by his father.⁴ He was related to basileus Rhomaiôn John IV Laskaris; the son of Theodore II Lascaris and Helen, a daughter of the Bulgarian tsar John Asen II.⁵ Basileus Rhomaiôn Theodore II Laskaris was born in 1222.⁴ He was the son of basileus Rhomaiôn Ioannes III Dukas Batatzes and Eirene Dukaina Komnene Laskarina.^2,3 Basileus Rhomaiôn Theodore II Laskaris married Helena Asên, daughter of Tsar of Bulgaria Ivan Asên II Belgun and Theodora Batatzaina, circa 1248.^1,6 Basileus Rhomaiôn Theodore II Laskaris witnessed the engagement of despot of Epirus Nikephoros I Doukas and Maria Laskarina in 1249.⁷ Basileus Rhomaiôn Theodore II Laskaris renewed the alliance with the Seljuq Sultanate of Rum in November 1254.⁴ Emperor at Nicaea, Empire of Nicaea, between November 1254 and August 1258.^8,4 He was a witness where Tsar of Bulgaria Mikhail II Asên invaded Thrace and Macedonia in 1255.⁴ Basileus Rhomaiôn Theodore II Laskaris compelled the Bulgar tsar Michael II Asen, who had invaded Thrace and Macedonia, but was then defeated after victorious campaigns by the Greeks, to sign a treaty in May 1256.⁴ He witnessed the marriage of despot of Epirus Nikephoros I Doukas and Maria Laskarina in October 1256.^1,4 Basileus Rhomaiôn Theodore II Laskaris died in August 1258 at age 36 years.⁴

He was the son of William de Botereus of Boscastle.¹ Reginald de Botreaux of Boscastle was one of the four knights [together with Ralph Arundell ] who were appointed in Cornwall " to conduct an investigation into all wrongs committed by royal and baronial officials and bailiffs" in August 1258.¹ He died after August 1258.¹

     Guillaume de Sabran was born in 1190.¹ He was the son of Raimon de Sabran, comte de Forcalquier and Gersende I de Forcalquier.^2,3 Guillaume de Sabran died on 18 September 1258 at age 68 years.¹
