Sir Henry de Braybrooke Knt. was the son of Robert de Braybrooke.2 Sir Henry de Braybrooke Knt. was of Braybrooke at Northamptonshire, England.1 He married Christina Ledet, daughter of Wischard Ledet and Margaret Foloit; Her 1st.1 Sir Henry de Braybrooke Knt. joined the Barons in opposition to King John, and took such part in the rebellion that his lands were seized in 1214.1 He returned his allegiance to the Crown, after Louis of France retired, and his lands were restored to him in 1217.1 He was appointed one of the Justices itinerant for Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire in 1224 at England.1 He died before June 1234.1

He was inherited, through his mother, a 1/3 interest in the barony of Miles Fitz Walter of Gloucester in 1219.7 He married Isabel de Ferrers, daughter of William I, 3rd Earl of Derby and Goda de Tosny, before 1225; His 2nd. Llewelyn arranged with his wife Eva that the marriage of his daughter, Isabel, to Llewelyn's son David should still happen. The king's chancellor received a report on William's death. It said: "At that manor which is called Crokein he was made to croak. He was hanged from a certain tree and not secretly or by night but openly and in broad daylight in front of eight hundred people and more, called together to view this pitiable and woeful spectacle, and especially those to whom William de Braose senior and his sons were hostile by reason of injury inflicted on their ancestors whether recent or otherwise."7,8 Joan Plantagenet died in February 1237 at Arlechwedd Isaf, Aberconwy, Caernarvonshire, Wales.4,2

She was the daughter of William "the Elder" Marshall, 4th Earl of Pembroke and Isabel, suo jure Countess of Pembroke.1 Heiress of Kildare at Leinster, Ireland, between 16 March 1219 and 1245.2 Sibyl Marshall married William III, 5th Earl of Derby, son of William II, 4th Earl of Derby and Alice of Chester, before 14 May 1219; His 1st.1 Sibyl Marshall died before 1238.1

William de Cantilupe1
b. circa 1165, d. 1238
William de Cantilupe was the first of the family upon record.2 He was born circa 1165. He served in the office of Sheriff for the counties of Warwick and Leicester between 1201 and 1204 at 3-5 John, England.2 He was made governor of the castle of Hereford and Wilton, and subsequently sheriff of Herefordshire in 1204/5 at 6 John.2 He was served as the king's steward, and gave 40 marks for the wardship of Egidia, Lady of Kilpeck, widow of William Fitz-Warine in 1209/10 at 11 John.2 He remained faithful to King John, despite John's excommunication by Pope Innocent III in 1212/13 at 14 John.3 He arrayed afterwards under the baronial banner, and joined in the invitation to Louis of France circa 1215.3 He returned to the king's favor when he obtained grants of all the forfeited estates of Richard de Engaine and Vitalis de Engaine, two leading barons in the insurrection, in 1215.3 He appointed governor of Kenilworth Castle circa 1216 at Warwickshire, England.3 He remained attached to the cause of royalty in the reign of Henry III and acquired immense possessions in the shape of grants from the crown of forfeited lands after 28 October 1216.3 He died in 1238.1
