The grandson of Marwan I.2 He was the son of Muhammad ibn Marwân Banu 'Abd Shams.1 Marwân II ibn Muhammad, 14th Umayyad Caliph ascended the throne in 744.3 14th Umayyad Caliph at Damascus, Syria, between 744 and 750.1 He completed the reconquest of Syria in 746.3 He was decisively defeated by a combined force of 'Abbasids, Persians, Iraqis, and Shi'ites at the Battle of the Great Zab River in 750.3 He died in 750 at Egypt. Last of the Umayyad dynasty, he was killed while fleeing the forces of Abu al-'Abbas as-Saffah, the first caliph of the 'Abbasid dynasty.2,1,3

Aquitaine and Burgundy were left to their own devices.3 Mayor of the Palace at Austrasia, Frankish Kingdom, between 21 October 741 and 747.6,7,8 Carloman des Francs abdicated and travelled to Rome to become a monk in 747.4 He went to Monte Cassino in 750 at near Naples, Italy.4 He returned to France to fight against his brother's Italian policies in 754.4 He died on 17 August 754 at France. Captured and imprisoned, he died of an illness.4

He was the son of King of Kent Wihtræd Oiscinga and Æthelburh (?).3 Æthelberht II (of Kent), King of Kent appeared in a charter which read "Æthelberht, son of King Wihtred, to Mildred, abbess, and her familia; grant of 1 sulung (aratrum) by the river Limen and meadow at Hammespot (in Romney Marsh), Kent" on 11 July 724.3 He seems to have succeeded his father to co-rule with his brother, Eadberht I, as kings of Kent in 725.4 He witnessed the death of King of Kent Wihtræd Oiscinga on 23 April 725; "In the year of Lord's incarnation 725, being the seventh year of Osric, king of the Northumbrians, who succeeded Coenred, Wictred, the son of Egbert, king of Kent, died on the 23rd of April, and left his three sons, Ethelbert, Eadbert, and Alric, heirs of that kingdom, which he had governed thirty-four years and a half."5 Æthelberht II (of Kent), King of Kent appeared in a charter which read "Æthelberht II, king of Kent, to Dunn, priest and abbot, and the church of St Mary (Lyminge); grant of land by the river Limen and at Sandtun (Sampton, lost, in West Hythe), Kent" in 732 at Canterbury, Kent.6 He was presented by Bishop Ealdwulf, for his confirmation, the charter of the grant his brother gave to Bishop Ealdwulf in April 738.7 He appeared in a charter which read "Æthelberht II, king of Kent, to the church of St Mary, Lyminge; grant of fishing rights in the river Limen, land around the oratorium of St Martin (? at New Romney), and pasture at Biscopes wic (The Wicks, Broomhill, Kent)" in 741 at Lyminge, Kent.8 King of Kent at England between 748 and 762.9 He died in 762.2 He mentioned as deceased in the charter of Dunwald "minister of the late King Æthelberht" in 762.10 He appeared in a charter which read "Æthelberht II, king of Kent, to the minster of SS Peter and Paul (St Augustine's) Canterbury; exchange whereby the minster cedes the half-use of a mill to the royal vill at Wye, Kent, in return for pasture rights in the Weald for its tenant at Chart, Kent" in 762.11

     Ja'far al-Sadiq ibn Muhammad, 6th Holy Imam of Islam was given the Laqab (title) "Al-Sadiq".3 He was born on 20 April 702 at 17th of Rabi'ul-Awwal 83 A.H., Medina, Saudi Arabia.1,3 He was the son of Muhammad al-Baqir ibn 'Alî, 5th Holy Imam of Islam and Umm Farwa bint Qasim bin Muhammad bin Abu Bakr al-Madinah.2,3 Ja'far al-Sadiq ibn Muhammad, 6th Holy Imam of Islam acknowledged as the sixth imam, or spiritual successor to Muhammad, by the Shiites in 733.4 6th Holy Imâm of Islâm between 28 January 733 and 13 December 765.3 He married Hamidah (?) before 746.3 Ja'far al-Sadiq ibn Muhammad, 6th Holy Imam of Islam died on 13 December 765 at 25th of Shawwal 148 A.H., Medina, Saudi Arabia, at age 63 years, 7 months and 23 days. He was martyred of poison by the order of al-Mansur.1,3 Ja'far al-Sadiq ibn Muhammad, 6th Holy Imam of Islam was buried in the al-Baggea Cemetery, Medina, Saudi Arabia. He is buried near his father.3

Waifre, duc d'Aquitaine was born in 725.1 He was the son of Hunold, duc d' Aquitaine.1,2 Waifre, duc d'Aquitaine peacefully succeeded his father to Aquitaine, without interference from the new heirs of Charles Martel, in 745.3 Duke of Aquitaine in 745.3 He attacked the Frankish forces in the Narbonnaise led by Pepin II before 759.3 He made arrangement to hold out against Pepin II, and the allied Goths, by making his own alliance with Duke Lupo of Gascony, which assured him of Gascon troops and assistance when needed, in 760.4 He was a witness where Pippin III Brevis, rex Francorum sent an army into Berry and Auvergne which ravaged a large part of Aquitaine, or as the chronicler puts it, "maximam partem Aquitaniae," with fire and sword in 760.4 Waifre, duc d'Aquitaine sued for peace from Pepin, but Pepin, for whom only complete conquest would satisfy, pursued the war as aggressor in 760.5 He avenged the attack by Pepin on Aquitaine when he sent two of his border counts, those who controlled Bourges (Count Humbert) and Auvergne (Count Bladino), to ravage Burgundy in 761.4 He was a witness where Pippin III Brevis, rex Francorum replied to the Aquitainian attack on Burgundy with an expedition into Auvergne which captured the key fortresses of Bourbon and Clermont, killed a number of Gascon auxiliaries who were fighting for the Aquitanians, and forced Count Bladino of Auvergne to submit, in 761.4 Waifre, duc d'Aquitaine was a witness where Pippin III Brevis, rex Francorum followed his success in Auvergne with an attack on Berry and Poitiers, and Bourges surrendered with its Count Humbert, and so did the fortress of Thouars and the count of Poitou, and the Gascons fighting for these counts were deported across the Loire into Northern France, in 762.6 Waifre, duc d'Aquitaine was a witness where Pippin III Brevis, rex Francorum continued his campaign against the Aquitainians with a raid which carried his forces through the Limousin as far south as Quercy in 763.6 Waifre, duc d'Aquitaine was a witness where Pippin III Brevis, rex Francorum persecuted a see-saw struggle with the Aquitainians which was to last three years, the war became a bitter affair, and Pepin began to wage it with deliberate frightfulness, for we are told he burnt villas, destroyed vineyards, and depopulated monasteries, between 763 and 765.6 Waifre, duc d'Aquitaine was a witness where Pippin III Brevis, rex Francorum destroyed the resistance in central Aquitaine with his brutal tactics circa November 765.6 Waifre, duc d'Aquitaine was a witness where Pippin III Brevis, rex Francorum accepted the submission, on the defeat of the Gascon allies of Waifre of Aquitaine, the pro-Frankish peace party of nobles led by Count Humbert of Bourges and other magnates in 768.6 Waifre, duc d'Aquitaine died in 768 at Périgord at age 43 years. Following the defeat and submission of his allies to Pepin of the Franks, his family was captured, and he was killed in a forest in Périgord.1,6
