The Vaughns were first in Kentucky -- Livingston Co. (later Caldwell Co., KY). Right after the Creek War in about 1816, they moved to the Alabama Territory. They settled in what was then Monroe Co., AL and is now Wilcox Co., AL. With the war over, the troubles settling, new lands were opening. The beautiful Wilderness stretched out before them like a sea of opportunity!
Many thanks to Farnell Vaughn. Please contact him if you have other information on this family.
