Born: about 1783 GA; Married: about 1806; Died: 8/22/1865

LifeNotes: At age 7, in about 1790, Temperance was visiting the Scarlett farm in Greene Co., GA and was captured by hostile Creeks who murdered the Scarlett family after burning the farm. Tempy was brought into what is now Alabama to the village of Autasi (Autossee). A woman living in the Wilderness named Milly of Milly's Creek, bartered with the Indians for the child and took Tempy to her home, caring for Tempy for 3 years until authorities placed her elsewhere.

If you have any ideas of who was Tempy's birth family, Jake Evans would love to hear from you. Enjoy the story of Tempy Ellis & Milly that Jake shares with us.
