Some things are missing from our year, namely "How to Read
a Book", which I read in Term 1 and chose to put off until a
later year. We skipped The Grammar of Poetry due to cost
concerns and hope to pick it up in Year 8. We are also not reading
current events.
Weekly Schedule
We started off the year following our Year 6
schedule (substituting the appropriate books of course). I like
this schedule a lot because it is very flexible.

I have found that this routine works best for us.
We seem to be able to get everything done and if we don't due to
illness or vacation, we can use Friday to catch-up. I use
this schedule with a binder
to track our weekly progress.
