A note about this schedule: This schedule is a suggested way to complete AO Year 4 only. It is based off of Miss Mason's Original PUS Timetables for Form II (ages 9-12 or 4th through 6th grades).

Dictation
Two pages prepared and then written from memory (a section only)

Writing
Penmanship practice using a New Handwriting Series

Grammar
English Grammar using First English Lessons (basic parts of speech)

English & French History
Reading from a children's first history of England or France

Plutarch's Lives
Reading and omitting unsuitable parts

Reading
Consisted of books for History, Literature and Geography as well as Readers for practiced lessons

Repetition
Aid in recitations of hymns, poems and Bible verses

French, German and Latin
Beginning language lessons

Picture Talk
Object Lesson on various artists

Drawing & Brush Drawing
Practiced instruction in the drawing of flowers, plants and animals.

Natural History
Nature reading along with a nature notebook. Children begin to make experiements. Books such as Fairyland of Science explain the nature of scientific observation.

Arithmetic
Arithmetic to mental drills (10 minutes each day). Continued work with timestables and Geometry.

Handcrafts
Work or gardening, modeling with clay, needlework

Drill
Swedish Drill or calesthenics (PE)

Sol-fa
Singing practice and songs in French and English

Geography
Map work and learning about places
