On a family member obit it mentions that my relative, James FARR, was on a special grand jury for the Bellevue Riot in Norwalk. He died on 29 November 1903, a week later. Could anyone give any further information about this riot as I have tried Googling it, but without success.

Ken Shute Look Up Results - I have checked our Huron County, Ohio publications for any references to this subject, inluding published articles by Henry Timman, local Norwalk historian and columnist for the Norwalk Reflector newspaper, but so far without success. In this look up I searched for references to your forebear, James H. FARR, as one starting point. I offer them below in the event some may be new to you. 1. U.S. 1900 Census- Name- James H. FARR. Looking to find if there is an obituary for Asa Edgar PALMER who died July 7th 1902 in Monroeville. He would have been 17 years old. Unfortunately, for me, the death indexes and certificates online start in 1903. Would like to know the cause of death, if at all possible, for a young age.

Debbie Orth Look Up Results - We have the death records on microfilm for that time period. We also have the Norwalk newspaper. The death record shows that Asa Edgar PALMER died from an "ulceration of bowels". The Norwalk Daily Reflector has two small obits for him. The first one, on July 7, actually lists his name as John Jr. They have the cause of death as "ulceration of liver". The second, on July 8, lists his name correctly and just gives funeral information. Let me know if you would like any of the copies and I can give you ordering information.

I am seeking information on the family of Frank or Franz and Theresa or Theresia MUELLER BALL. They had at least four children born in Huron County, Joseph about 1844, Mary about 1849, Frank about 1852 and Caroline about 1856. I believe Theresa BALL married 2nd Vincent METZ 7/1/1862 in Huron County and they had one daughter Louisa Helen METZ born 2/9/1864 before Vincent died 9/5/1865. I am interested to learn what happened to Louisa's half siblings. They seem to have disappeared after the 1860 census.

Debbie Orth Look Up Results - 1870 Census, Theresa BALL is living in Sherman Township. Frank, age 19, and Caroline, age 15 are living with her. Their last name is not listed. The census taker may have assumed that since they were her children, their last names were METZ. I couldn't find Joseph or Mary in the 1870 census in Huron County, OH. 1880 Census, Theresa is listed, but no children are listed with her. There is a listing for Gregory HIRSCH in Willard. I'm requesting a lookup in Cemetery Inscriptions of Huron County, Ohio for the following couple- August BACH/BOCH and his wife Philippina (or Philomena?). According to his death certificate, he may have been buried at Riverside. He died 7 July 1934. His wife predeceased him, perhaps by 30 years. I wasn't able to locate her in the census starting 1900, so she may have died a few years before then. It appears he might have been remarried at least 3 years in 1900. I haven't been able to locate a date of death for her. I'm particularly interested in locating her date of death (and birth, if available).
