My grandparents' families (HIPP and HETTEL) are all from the Huron County area (Norwalk, Monroeville, Peru). In particular, I was interested "Pictures of Huron County," and looked at "Groups of People," where it states "Monroeville High School, Class of 1898." (Yes, I know there's a 2nd grade class picture there that belongs to the heading listed above it.) The correct picture for that title is missing. At any rate, if the item listed was pictured (it would be a commencement pamphlet from Monroeville H.S.'s 1898 class), it was submitted by a Sandy Curtis Jacobs. Does anyone know Ms. Jacobs? I am interested in contacting her, as my great-aunt (Carlena Frances HIPP) graduated that year and is listed in the commencement pamphlet. I have very little information on her and thought that perhaps Ms. Jacobs might have a picture or other info. of the graduates which would help with my research. In addition, her brother, Vincent A. HIPP, probably graduated from Monroeville High School in 1900. Would anyone have any information on that year's class? This great uncle disappeared in CA after Dec. 1906. I have been searching unsuccessfully for information on him but have found nothing on the CA Death Indexes or anywhere else. His family was never able to find him. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

I would like to see if there is a Margaret Jane CARSON {aka Jane CARSON] marrying a __WILLIAMS? I found her marrying Phineas WATROUS in 1871 and living in Bronson, Huron, Ohio,( and had a son Sears P. WATROUS with him). He died and then she married a Mr. MOTTER later and then Mr. David BROWNELL. She died in 1916. She had a son with this Mr. WILLIAMS and his name was Hiram J. WILLIAMS. I'd like to find a marriage pre- Mr. WATROUS so it might be in the 2nd volume of the marriage records. She was born in 1831 in PA and so maybe she married a Mr. WILLIAMS there, if you don't find anything.

I am new to this group and I just recently took up interest in researching my mom's side of the family. I have come into contact with a Charlene Bauer so my BAUER/CARABIN connection is set. But there are a few which I'd like very much to know more about. I am descended from the WILHELMs and BAUERs of Peru, OH and the FRITZ clan from Monroeville. I know for a fact my great grandmother's, (Constance (WILHELM) FRITZ), parents were Andrew WILHELM and Mary Rose BAUER. My great grandfather's name was Ralph FRITZ and he was the youngest son of Matthew and Frances FRITZ of Monroeville. I know he was the youngest of 13 but don't have the names of all the siblings. Also Mary Rose BAUER's mother was Frances PATTON and she married Peter BAUER Jr. So in short here are my names I would like more info on FRITZ, WILHELM, and PATTON.

Ruth Reed Look Up Results - I can help a little. Frances, wife of Mathew FRITZ, was the daughter of Rosina (REMLEY) and Jacob FREY. She was born March of 1852 and married 25 Feb 1873 in Norwalk. Died in 1918. Their children were: Charles born 1872; Rosa born 1873 and married John MYERS; Otilda b 24 Jan 1876, married Frank MYERS; Matilda born 24 Jan 1876, married William MYERS; Benjamin born 15 Jan 1878; Frank born 26 Aug 1879; John H born 8 Jul 1881; Joseph born Jun 1885; Mary Frances born Mar 1887, married Lenard KRAMER; and Ralph b 24 Oct 1889. My records state they had 10 children. Rosina REMLEY FREY was the daughter of Lorenz and Josephine Ritter REMLEY. There are numerous spellings of REMLY including REMMELEE. Take out one m or one e. RUEMELE is another. There is a nice biography of Joseph REMLEY in Bear's History and Biography of Huron and Lorain Cos. In it he tells about his parents and their immigration. Rosina had one brother, Joseph, and sisters, Josephine (Mrs. Anthony FISCHER), Francis (Mrs Martin RUFF), Blondina (Mrs. Michel Gies), and Stephany (Mrs. Anton FISCHER).

According to VAN SCOY-KNAPP reunion records, Cora May KINGSLEY, daughter of ____ KINGSLEY and Ida E. FISH and granddaughter of John FISH and Lidda Ann VAN SCOY, was born 15 May 1873 and married Sibley FULLERTON 28 May 1896. They had one son, Richard Lewis FULLERTON, born 18 February 1899. In the 1880 census Cora KINGLSEY age 7 is with Hardy and Ida Latham in Ridgefield Township, Huron County, Ohio. The published Huron County, Ohio, marriage records for 1878-1900 do not show a marriage of a FULLERTON man. The marriages of KINGSLEY women are of Ida E. to Hard L. LATHAM in 1888 and Sarah M. to C. H. STOVER in 1893. (This Ida E. is a FISH by birth, the widow of ____ KINGLSEY, and the mother of Cora May KINGSLEY. I don't recognize Sarah KINGSLEY.) In 1915 Cora FULLERTON of Norwalk, Ohio, was elected vice president of the reunion. There is a letter in the reunion files from Cora FULLERTON dated 9 August 1916. The return address on the envelope is preprinted and reads FULLERTON & FISH Milliners Norwalk, - Ohio An index to the 1920 census led me to an entry in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio- Robert L. Bruck, head, age 26, draftsman. Ruth Bruck, wife, age 26, saleslady, department store. Cora M. FULLERTON, lodger, age 44, widowed, fitter, department store. Richard L. FULLERTON, lodger, age 20, single, salesman, supply company. The ages are close to what the reunion records suggest for both Cora and Richard, and the middle initials match. The 1946 reunion mailing list has an entry- Mrs. Cora FULLERTON, New London, Ohio which is crossed out with a note "Deceased" added. The Huron County cemetery book shows only three FULLERTONs- John about 1809-1892. Odell W. 1885-1957. Lucille H. 1885-1957. (1) Does anyone on this list know anything about "FULLERTON & FISH, Milliners" in Norwalk around 1916? (2) I'm conjecturing that Sibley FULLERTON died between 1916 and 1920 and that his widow and son moved to Cleveland for a few years for employment but that she, at least, returned to Huron County. Can anyone on this list confirm or refute this?

In your Huron County, Ohio publications, this was found for me in the Huron County, Ohio Cemetery Inscriptions: East Bronson-Olena Cemetery, Bronson Township, Page 7, Tier3. 15. Sylvenus BURNHAM, d. 12 Oct 1860 aged 65y 7m. 16. Henry BURNHAM s/o S. & M. BURNHAM, d. 18 Jun 1858 aged 85y 15d. Sylvenus BURNHAM was married to Mary, but I can't find Mary anywhere. Three of their children appear in Otsego, Allegan County, Michigan and Kalamazoo County, Michigan in the 1870 and 1880 Censuses. I know they came out of New York but there seems to be a mix up with another Sylvenus BURNHAM in New York. It sure gets confusing at times and sometimes there just isn't a clear answer. I was wondering if you could look up S. BURNHAM and M. BURNHAM, both on page 7, to see if it gives any more information. Could you also tell me what these say as well? I believe all these BURNHAMs are related and I am trying to piece them together: B. - 464, Charlotte M. - 583, Dan'l -554, E.S. - 614, Eddy Foster - 614, Freddy Homer - 614, Harry S. - 668, Horace - 819, Horace M. - 819, Ida - 668, J.E. - 614, Mrs. B. - 668, Rena - 668, Robert H. - 449, Susanah - 464, and Trudie F. - 449.
