I am trying to sort out info received from 89 year old distant cousin in FL to correct the family records for David J. BRADY (1816-1902), his wife Pamelia FRANKLIN BRADY (1821-1904), and his uncle, another David BRADY (no dates known). The elder David supposedly moved to Greenwich, Huron Co., Ohio, married and had 4 children. I have no documentation for this. David J. did move to Greenwich (I have copies of legal papers from Westchester when he tried to get his inheritance), and is in the 1850 census, and is buried with Pamelia in Fitchville Cemetery. They had a daughter, Mary E. BRADY who married Jay WASHBURN in 1873. I am trying to find their other children, and determine whether Uncle David really did move to Greenwich, who he married, and any children.

I saw answer on the BRADY and WASHBURN family. I have a Henry Jay WASHBURN b 2 Feb 1855 OH d 9 Jun 1942 married 1. Carrie WYCKOFF b 1857 OH d 1910, 2. Jennie b 1864 d 1915. His parents were Henry Craft WASHBURN and Charlote Catherine GRIFFIN. I am more interested in Carrie WYCKOFF. Her parents were James F. WYCKOFF and Caroline WHITING. They died in 1870 in Ripley, Huron Co, OH. James and Caroline were both born in NY, but, so far, I have not been able to find James's parents. Ken Shute Look Up Results--I found an Emma A. RUGGLES in our Marriage Book, but she married a Watson BERKELEY (in 1879), not a TIBBS. This Emma was b. ca 1859 and d. 1879. She is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk Township. Watson apparently remarried a Mary CURTISS in 1880. He was bur. 1936 in Woodlawn Cemetery. I could find no reference to the surname TIBBS in any of our Huron County publications, including the Marriage Book.

John FRIES Jr. was mentioned in the Marion Co. Newspaper exerpts. His father was John FRIES, who died at the home of his son-in-law, Noah LEATHERBERRY in Marion Co. in 1846. The article states that this John Jr. was the "present Representative in Congress from the 47th district in this State." I have been unable to find any info. about legislators from this particular district. There was an 11th district at that time of which there was a George FRIES, congressman who was also a medical doctor. He died in Cincinnatti after 1860. Perhaps this 47th district was a misprint and the John FRIES Jr. was incorrect. Does anyone have infomation to connect the John and Elizabeth FRIES family to the FRIES family of Huron Co?

I'm looking for any information, on the RHINEBERGERs, Andrew James RHINEBERGER "A.J. " had a canning business in the late 1890's and early 1900's. His father was James William RHINEBERGER. I really need to know who his father and grandather were. James William RHINEBERGER was born in 1833. His father was William RHINEBERGER. I am looking for information about several relatives who came from Connecticut (around 1822) and settled in Wakeman, Ohio. Samuel R. BARNES who was married to Abigail PIERCE. Abigail's brother Amiel PIERCE was one of the first to settle in Wakeman. In our Just Like Old Times, by Henry Timman, Vol. III, page 80, the article refers to a Samuel BARNES who was married to a Mary Delia PLATT. This Samuel BARNES died 8 Sep 1828, at age 42, leaving his wife and son, Samuel W. BARNES. While Samuel R. BARNES didn't appear in our History of the Firelands, by W.W. Williams, 1879, Amial P. PIERCE did: Page 184. Amial P. PIERCE, with his wife, four children, and a hired man, arrived in Wakeman Township, Huron County, Ohio, about June, 1817. They made the journey from Connecticut with an ox team. Amial settled on lot 22, section 3. He was described as a man of large size and great physical strength. He held the rank of Captain in Connecticut. He later became known as "Squire" because of his long service as Justice of the Peace. I am looking for information on the William PHENIX family. I found that there was a William PHENIX in the 1840 Huron County census and a Abraham PHENIX in the 1850 Huron County census. My gg-grandfather claimed to be born in Ohio in 1834, so I suspect this William to be his father. I know this is a reach, because in 1850 my g-grandfather was living with the Ashby family in Clark County, Illinois, and his death cert. says his father was William PHENIX.
