Noticed that there were a lot of MANAHAN'S listed in the Huron Cemetery. 83 in fact. Was wondering if they were all related, and if they were part of Terrence MANAHAN'S family When Terrence married Ruth WEBB, the wedding certificate read MANAHAN. However, in the 1840's the surname of Terrence and Ruth changed from MANAHAN to MONEGHAN. Terrence and Ruth's wedding certificate was for Huron County. Also, in 1833, there was a Mary JACKSON staying with the MANAHAN/MONEGHAN family . Also trying to find her connection if any to the MANAHAN/MONEGHAN family.

I am trying to locate the name and any other information on an orphanage that was run perhaps during the 1920's and 30's in Norwalk. Specifically, I am trying to locate my aunt, whose last name would have been PECK. She was apparently placed for adoption from the institution. She would be the daughter of Lula BLACK PECK and George PECK, her sisters Vivian and Anita. Thanks so much

Excuse me for doing a little straw grasping here. George W(ashington?) PARK(S)(ES) was the second husband of my GAunt Mary Elizabeth LOVE who was born in New Haven, Huron Co in 1829. Beyond knowing that he died in 1875 in Miami Co OH and is buried there, I know nothing more of him. Maybe she knew him in Huron Co before the first marriage, which I also know nothing about, beyond a statement in her obit that he died of wounds from the Civil War. Mary Elizabeth was the daughter of Rufus LOVE and Clarissa BOWERS, who were married in Huron Co in 1821.
