Would like ANY information on my grandfather John William ROCK b. July 31, 1871 possibly in Plymouth, New York and d. January 5, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio. He is buried in an unmarked grave in the Wakeman area. His father was Samuel ROCK and mother or step-mother was Adelia KELLER born in Norwich, New York. He married Ella Adelade TIMBS who was from Wakeman.

I am seeking information on the following people. Parley Post was born 23 May 1811 in Jefferson Co. NY. He moved before 1837 to Harland Twp, Huron Co. OH. In the 1860 census the following are listed in his household: wife Amy born 1817, Eliza J 1840, Dudley W 1842, Gridley 1844, Exarissa J 1847, Lydia 1851, Murray 1854, Ladora 1856, Joseph 1859. His eldest daughter who married a Snow was also listed, her name was Almera 1837, her son Albert 1858 is listed too. Last was a Maria Phillips age 73 born NY. Dudley and Gridley later moved to Bronson MI. Gridley married Florence Fuller b 3 Nov 1849 in OH. I am looking for information on Parley and Amy's parents. Was Maria Amy's mother, if not who is she in relation to the family, Any information on Gridley's wife Florence would be appreciated as well.

Looking for information on James Akright who married Cynthia King Sept. 1844 in New London, OH. James b. 3-31-1823, Cynthia b. 4-19-1826 in Jefferson Co. New York. Parents of Cynthia are Henry King and Cynthia Nichols King. On James & Cynthia's marriage certificate, a James Akright swore to the validity of the mariage, was this James himself, or his father? I would like to find parents/siblings of James Akright. Both Cynthia King Akright and James Akright died in Michigan, James death certificate lists parents unknown. Also, are there any good history books of New London available? Thank you!

I am looking for more information on the following families: John Graham married to Thomasina REILLY, had eight children (George, Joseph, William, Marietta, and four others) William married Sarah E. LOUTHER (b.1839-1928), Marrietta married a WATERMAN. (they are buried at Steuben cemetary in Fairfield Twp. ,Huron County,Oh. John and Thomasina stayed in Scotland, and Thomasina funded William to travel to the US with his brother, Joseph. I am looking for more information on either the Graham or LOUTHER family (I know Sarah's father is Edward H. - I have a few land deeds with his name, and an E.H. LOUTHER is on many of the Huron county census'.

I am looking for more information on the WATTS family. Nickolas, father of Corydon, married a Delilia (sp?). Corydon is buried with his wife, Harriet E. BELDEN on the Ridge Rd. cemetary, about 500 ft. south of rt 162. I am looking for more information on the WATTS family, and I know that some may have ventured south to Plymouth, Ohio (between Huron and Richland counties). I know that Corydon's daughter, Jesse Dora WATTS was born in Shiloh, Ohio in 1878 (she died in 1949) Jesse was twin to Dessie Cora.

I am also looking for any information for the last names of KEESY, GONS, BOWSER, and ROGERS. My great grandmother Lela Beatrice BOWSER (her parents Margaret Ann ROGERS and Mathias BOWSER) - I know MAthias and "Maggie" married in Huron county- as I have their marriage certificatem, but know that Mathias came from Kittaning, PA. Margaret's mom, Harriet KEESY has her roots from Canada. I know there were many Keesy's in Richmond Twp. in Huron co....and even more in the Attica, Ohio area. I have a KEESY family reunion guest list from an 1899 get-together. I would like to hear from any living KEESY relatives to get more info on that side.

Interested in the BUNCE and BARBER and BRUNSON lines in Huron County. Edwin Satterly BUNCE married Emily BARBER in 1845 in Lorain Co., Ohio. He became a pioneer minister and moved to Wisconsin and Minnesota after his marriage. I have not been able to connect them to the correct BUNCE and BARBER families in these areas. But know he was also in the Oberlin area too.

Julia KINGSBURY married Darius SMITH in Huron Co in 1827. His parents are David SMITH and Polly SHEDD. Julia's parents are Jonathan KINGSBURY and 2nd wife, Elizabeth SHUMWAY. The KINGSBURY's came from Greene Co or Oneida Co, NY, in April 1819. He died in July or August 1819 probably in Peru Twp. This information is in "Kingsbury Genealogy", A.M. Kingsbury, 1962, and "The Genealogy of the Decendents of Henry Kingsbury of Ipswich and Haverhill, Mass.", by F.J. Kingsbury, LLD and edited by M.K. Talbott, 1905.
