Searching for information on Patrick Murphy and Margaret Sullivan Murphy who lived in Greenwich between 1877 and 1884. Margaret's parents William Sullivan and Eliza Williams are also shown living with them on the 1880 census. My records show that they purchaced property from John and Ellen Fitzgerald in on Feb 19,1877 and from Josephine Ingersoll on April 30,1883. Patrick and Margaret had several children while living in Greenwich ( William, Elizabeth, James). I believe this is the first place they purchaced property and Patrick may have recorded where in Ireland he was from. Patrick was a carpenter and William Sullivan worked for the railroad. The family lived in Cleveland before and after moving to Greenwich.

I am tracing my mother's family and am seeking information on the HOFACKER and FREDERICK families who are reported to have lived in Norwalk (Huron County) in the 1900 U.S. Census. My grandmother's maiden name was Agnes HOFACKER. Her father was John Hofacker and mother JoAnna FREDERICK. There is some confusion on my part in that a John Hofacker appears in the 1900 census married to a "Juliana" (no last name given) whose children at that time included F. Carl and Gertrude. My grandmother (Agnes) was born in 1901, and I know that the family moved to Florida in the early 1900s. Any information re the HOFACKER and FREDERICK families of Huron County, town of Norwalk would be greatly appreciated.
