MARKHAM, Samuel b. 1790 in NY d. 1878 Silverton, OR m. Miss Wilson in NY had three children in Ohio. Twins Daniel B. Markham and Samuel Jr. b.Sandusky 1823, and Cyrus. Father of Miss Wilson was Moses. Samuel was father of Edwin Markham, the poet, by his second wife, Elizabeth Winchell. Samuel was traveling with the Uzziel II Putnam family.

Seeking information on the siblings and ancestors of JOHN TWADDLE (b.1766-d.1843 in Jefferson Co.,OH) and his brother ALEXANDER TWADDLE (b.1782-d.1859 in Huron Co.,OH). We do not know the whereabouts of the families of three brothers:JAMES TWADDLE, PHILIP TWADDLE, AND ARCHIE TWADDLE (all born after 1774 in Washington Co. PA) and two sisters MARY TWADDLE and SARAH TWADDLE (born also around that time). Our goal is to establish the ancestorship of these Twaddles. Our family oral history suggests that they are decended from an ALEXANDER TWADDLE (b. ca 1745) in Donegal Co. Ireland, Wife unknown, a patriot in the Washington Co. militia. The two youngest children of this family, MARGARET (b. 1791) married Solomon Deffenbaugh and WILLIAM (b.1794) migrated to Zanesville, OH.
