To discover and document more family stories and create more interest in family history among younger generations, Brandywine is sponsoring an essay contest for young family historians.

(For young family historians who are members of Brandywine Crucible Families)

Age group for essay entries: Junior Division, 13 years and under Senior Division, 14 to 18 years

Essays will be submitted from family members in time to be received by Missy Cox Jones at the address below by Thursday, 22 May 2017. Email submissions are accepted. (The annual reunion in Lampasas, Texas, is held the first weekend of each June.) Specific dates for each year are available in October on the Brandywine Crucible web site.)

Essay entries will be judged Saturday afternoon at the reunion, with winners in the two age groups to be announced at dinner that night. Winners in each age division who are present will be presented with a plaque at the dinner, and the winning entries from each age group will be placed on the Brandywine Crucible website.
