Ellen Wright

She was a daughter of J. C. Wright, and was well educated. She taught school for several years. Was elected County Superintendent of Schools in 1895. She died before her term of office had expired, and her sister--Minnie Wright--was elected by the court to fill the unexpired term. They have the honor of being the only women who have held public office in Fentress County.
