 These are my fathers family : Back row left to right all names are unknown except the second man, he is Samuel Wolford Matthews (my uncle). Front row left to right: My grandfather Jesse Wood Matthews (son of Joseph and Elmira) My grandmother is Salina Lee Ann Green Matthews (or Salome Lee Ann) the first lady on left .Next to her is my father (the boy) James Cleveland Matthews. Judging from his size in this picture (he was born 1892) I estimate this picture was taken between 1900 and 1903,making him between 8 to 11 years old. They lived in Fentress County in Manson on Indian Creek. |
