Patrick Blaney and Mary Langan

Patrick Blaney1(DanielA) was born in Ireland c. 1804. [1] He died at the age of 84 in March 1889 in St-Narcisse, Lotbinière Co. Québec. [2]

Patrick married Mary Langan, born c. 1801 in Ireland. [3] She died 16 September 1867 in St-Gilles at the age of 66. [4]

Patrick Blaney and Mary Langan had the following children:

2 i. Margaret Blaney was born in Rivière-du-Loup, Québec in November 1830. She was baptized at home the next day. [5] She died in the evening on September 20 in 1831 at the age of ten months and is buried in the same town. [6]
3 ii. Mary Ann Blaney was born in Rivière-du-Loup on 28 June 1832 and baptized the same day. Her uncle James Blaney and aunt Bridget Blaney were the sponsors. [7] Mary Ann married Daniel Doran on 16 April 1855 in St-Gilles. Daniel was the son of Charles Doran and Sally Kelly. Mary Ann's brother Daniel was a witness. [8]
+ 4 iii. Daniel Blaney was born in St-Gilles c. 1834. [9] The 1901 census gives his birth date as 20 January 1834, but many of the dates for other household members are incorrect in this census, making it likely that this one is as well. [10]
+ 5 iv. Bridget Blaney was born c. 1836 in St-Gilles. [11]
6 v. Ann Blaney was born early in 1838 in St-Gilles. She was baptized 7 weeks later; her godparents were uncle Thomas Blaney and aunt Mary Ann McCourt. [12] She died in St-Gilles on 26 February 1851 at 12 years of age and was buried in the parish. [13]Younger brother Patrick had died three days earlier, suggesting that some severe malady had struck the family that winter.
+ 7 vi. Margaret Blaney was born in April 1840 in St-Gilles. [14]
8 vii. Patrick Blaney was born in St-Sylvestre in March 1842. [15] He died 23 February 1851 in St-Gilles at the age of 8 and was buried there. [16] He preceded his older sister Ann to the grave by three days.
+ 9 viii. John Blaney was born 3 June 1844 in St-Gilles. [17]
+ 10 ix. Thomas Blaney was born in St-Gilles 6 September 1846. [18]
