Thomas2 Blaney (Patrick1, DanielA) was born in St-Gilles, Lotbinière Co. Québec on 6 September 1846. [1] On 14 January 1868 he married Grace Boyle in St-Gilles. The groom was 21 years of age, the bride 27. Her brother James Boyle and Thomas's brother Daniel Blaney were witnesses. [2]
Gracie was born in St-Gilles on 7 March 1840, the daughter of James Boyle, a farmer, and Mary Shallow. She was baptized on 17 March; the sponsors were Daniel and Catherine Shallow. [3]

[7] The census census gives his birth year as 1873, but since his brother Phillipe was born in St-Narcisse 6 months after that, Johnny was certainly born a different year.
