Elizabeth Ann McDonnell and Perry K. Wilson

Elizabeth Ann2 McDonnell (Bridget1 Blaney, DanielA) was born 22 July 1851 in the parish of Madawaska located in what was then Victoria Co. (now Madawaska Co.), New Brunswick, the son of Bridget Blaney and Joseph Hamilton McDonald. She was baptized on 9 November; Basile Albert and Marie McDonald served as godparents. [1]

Lizzie married Perry K. Wilson c. 1873 in Cass Co. MO. Perry was born in Daviess Co. Missouri on 2 October 1847, the son of Eli Wilson and his wife Susan. [2] His parents were born in Tennesee. [3] In 1880 Lizzie and Perry had a farm in Dayton, near Austin, where Lizzie's parents farmed. [4] They later moved to Butler, in neighboring Bates County, where Perry was a livestock dealer and served for four years as the recorder of deeds. [5] In 1900 Perry was serving in that position while renting a home in Butler. [6] The Wilson children "grew up in a happy family atmostphere."[7]

Peripatetic like so many of the McDonnells, in 1909 they moved to Ekalaka, Carter Co. MT. [8] The Wilsons took advantage of the homestead act to file for 320 acres, which they proved on 30 June 1914. [9] Perry died on 23 October 1924 in Mill Iron, Carter Co. MT of apoplexy, valvular leakage was a contributing cause. He was buried in Ekalaka. [10] His obituary stated that he was particularly close to his grandson Cassill Feely "who has really been a son." It noted that:

His life was the clean, sweet life that brought sunshine, and his influence brought many to think of the good things of life. [11]

After his death Lizzie proved another 80 acres in July 1925, and 160 more in September of the same year. [12] According to her obituary, she soon moved to Tulsa, Tulsa Co. OK to live with her daughter, Olive Donohoo. [13] She died there on 10 December 1939. [14] In accordance with her wishes, her body was returned to Ekalaka for burial next to that of her husband in the Ekalaka cemetery. [15]

Elizabeth Ann McDonnell and Perry K. Wilson had the following children:

i. Nova Wilson was born on 29 March 1875 in Missouri. [16]
ii. Olive Alden Wilson was born c. 1874 in Missouri. [17]
iii. Alicia Wilson was born in August 1876 in Missouri. In 1900 she was living at home and working as a clerk in an office. [18]
iv. Thomas P. Wilson was born in October 1879 in Missouri. In 1900 he too was living with his parents and working as a clerk in an office. [19]
v. Ralph K. Wilson was born in Missouri in August 1881. [20]
