Fannie E. McDonnell and Charles Edward Weinberger

Fannie E.3 (Francis2 McDonnell, Bridget1 Blaney, DanielA) was born in Missouri on 4 January 1877, the daughter of Frances M. McDonnell and Mary Olive Brown. [1]

Fannie married Charles E. Weinberger c. 1903, when they both were about 25 years of age. [2] Charles was born on 29 September 1878 in Wisconsin, the son of John V. Weinberger and his wife Bertha, both German immigrants. His father was a clerk of the court in Chippewa Falls, Chippewa Co. WI. [3] Charles' career in the U.S. Army took the couple to a variety of places, including Fort Robinson in Dawes Co. Kansas; the Panama Canal Zone; Benicia Arsenal in Solano Co. California; and finally, Camp Stanley in Bexar Co. Texas. [4] Charles retired a captain and the two are buried in Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Bexar Co. Texas. Charles died on 12 March 1954 at the age of 75, while while Fannie outlived him by 17 years, dying in Bexar County, TX on 9 November 1971 at the age of 93. [5]
